As we can see in the official videos, he's not training with QPR. So, where is he? Is he training at all? If not, how will he be fit for anyone? If he is training, where is he doing it?
Players usually have a 4 week break at least after their season ends. His season ended when France got knocked out of the World Cup 3 weeks ago. He'd be useless to anyone had he gone straight back into training.
On his way to the USA for a medical for Liverpool who are out there at moment as previously mentioned before this on world cup break to recharge his batteries despite limited playing time.
He's in the US negotiating his way to the Champions League via Liverpool.... http://www.caughtoffside.com/2014/0...lete-liverpool-medical-after-snubbing-arsenal £8.5m Striker Travels To USA To Complete Liverpool Medical After Snubbing Arsenal Reds to make fifth major summer signing. Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy is poised to fly out to the United States to complete his transfer to Liverpool, according to the Daily Mail. Liverpool jetted of the America on Sunday for a preseason tour that will include friendlies against Roma, Olympiacos and Manchester City. The Reds have already brought in Adam Lallana, Lazar Markovic, Emre Can and Rickie Lambert this summer and Remy now looks increasingly like being big signing number five. QPR have accepted an £8.5m bid from Liverpool for Remy and the 27-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Anfield club. He is now set to join with Brendan Rodgers and co in Boston, where he will complete a medical with Liverpool officials. Remy had been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners were unable to come up with a wage package to satisfy the player.
Sadly yes. I suspect that this will be looked back on as another bargain transfer that we will be reminded of ad infinitum, like Eric Cantona's move from Leeds United.
Well if this is true, all we QPR fans can do is offer him a sailors fairwell. We only want players who want to be with us. Need l say more.
Never mind Sturridge, what about Stirling. He was ours to start with!! Despite having pots of dosh, we are still a selling / feeder club. Somehow, TF and crew need to sort that out alongside new stadium etc.
Ooopppsssssss........That was who I meant. Coming off a 1am finish and then doing the school run frazzled my brain
Sorry mate, I just thought you meant we should have tried to get him on loan etc. The fundamental point remains ie what might have been and now will not be. Oh well, move on.
Remy and the like only came to us because of the truly ludicrous wages on offer. This is exactly the problem (of his own making) that TF is now sorting out so he can't both do that and keep players who only ever saw the club as a milk cow. Agreed the new stadium is a big part of the long term solution of growing the club to the stage where is is attractive to players for other reasons. In the meantime we just have to suck down the loss (sic) of such players and focus on decent quality players that will be passionate about QPR as it is today.
Oh well, as much as I rate the lad, he's not the QPR way is he? I'm sure there's another Clive Allen out there for us somewhere?!
Isn't it interesting how more articles of this nature seem to come out when a club misses out on a signing? http://arsenalaction.com/2014/07/26/why-arsenal-have-dodged-a-bullet-in-not-signing-loic-remy/?
Written by Goonergirl tells you all you need to know!... Apparently Remy is being signed as cover for Sturridge..
Will be interesting, after Suarez' departure. There will be plenty of opportunities, big step up for Remy, so a big challenge for the lad.
"Remy is a good striker, but that’s it, just good. Last season at Newcastle he actually had a better goal to game ratio than Giroud at Arsenal and in terms of pace there is no denying Remy is much faster but I don’t think he is good enough for Arsenal." So, he's better than Giroud but not good enough for Arsenal? Did Ian Wright write this article?
