Yes I sit in the hole Grif. Block ML. That section of the stand is removed continuously even during the season so that the pitch maintenance vehicles can get access to it. I personally don't think anything is going on. But of course I may be wrong.
That hole was there on Playoff day. Walked passed the Loft on my way to meet up at ClubShop, and you could see through to pitch...there was an earth mover in the entrance to the Loft just beyond the turnstiles. I thought the hole was always there to allow "big" unimpeded access to the pitch , thought no more about it That is the full extent of my knowledge
We have also renewed our seats there, and as Nines says it is always being taken out to get access to the pitch. A metal frame forms that part of the stand, so it can be removed easily. Regarding the 'construction': I know more press spaces have been installed at the back of Ellerslie Road as its now a requirement to have more spaces. Takes up a big space as well. Further reducing the capacity. There is also scaffolding which has been erected in the corner between the School End and SA Road.
My imaginary friend told me they were putting in three exclusive portaloo's Q P and R. These three cubicles will be clean and exclusive only to ST holders who have renewed five years on the trot as a loyalty reward. Check the back of your season tickets to see if you have Q, P or R on the left hand corner. If you have renewed five years on the trot then you will appreciate having your own clean cubicles for the trotts. OK, sorry, that was pretty bad..
You're giving away the secret Nines. I've always liked sitting in the hole. Seriously though I think we've got the best seats in the house, not having to get up and down to allow people in and out of the row.
I can confirm that a Dj area is being put in for a Disco after every game, pitch will survive all the dancing on the pitch after all our home wins
Isn't the stuff for that still not technically legal in this country unless the seats are locked in a usable position? Otherwise even though it's got the seats it's still classed as installing standing areas, which you're not allowed to do in the top flight by rules, or in any new development work on a football ground by law.
I'll start, then add the next lines : There's a hole in the lower loft dear 'arry, dear 'arry, There's a hole in the lower loft dear 'arry, a hole.
