I hate to say I told you so but if anyone can be arsed to find it, I told you that Spurs wanted Jay ages ago and that Poch told his family as much.

Well you could go with that unsupported bit of speculation if you like, or you could go with the story that various media actually went with, which is that she wanted to take power to prep for a sale.

 

Not directly as far as i know but if you go by some media outlets he's already had a medical and is leaving pretty much as we speak.

I might as well throw my tuppence into the mix here and say that people need to calm the **** down...You can view the goings on at the club from a million perspectives and draw different conclusions. All this talk of fire sales etc is unsupported and we need to wait at least til the end of the transfer window to be able to say with ANY confidence what the future holds for the club.

 

But no one has come in for Jos? I find that strange.

I kind of agree to an extent, but the bolded bit isn't really true is it? There's some fairly major shifting going on in the 'out' direction...

And we won't spend half of what we've brought in. I don't care what's been said; they won't reinvest 100% of that transfer revenue in the squad. It'd be about £150m if we did.

 

Joe, that is how you will see it. Since he went, you won't even entertain the slightest inclinations against him. This is how I saw it: his employer wasn't 100% happy with either how their business was being run or the future plans and so decided to alter that. He could have stayed. He chose to walk. If, as you seem insistent on, she sells (and you may be right), why the hell didn't he stay as she'd be soon out of the way.

 

You know, the only comfort I am taking from this is that Ronald Koeman has been through this kinda thing before.

 

How the **** can we sell the whole first 11 squad.

Nah, bollocks to it now. We are piling up money in the bank sure, but there isn't a respectable player that is going to want to come to us as things stand. Being honest, if you were a very decent footballer, would you consider joining Southampton this summer?

 

If Jay left he would piss me off big time. So much I would be tempted to injure his leg again.
