I believe inside Altidore there's a good player-with the potential to be very good, Klinsman believes in him we need to -plus you don't play in the WC if you're crap - hope this season the 'booers' stay off his back - he'll hopefully be banging in a few goals in Portugal it's all about confidence at the end of the day

Rodriguez would be great to have, if borini is still messing with us then forget it, just wasting our own time. Would like to sign Mutch, would happy push up to the 4/5 mil for him too

I hope altidore comes good. He has the attributes, just not to confidence

Hopefully Fletcher and Wickham do the business.

I hope Jozy comes good too but I just don't think the lad has the heart.

What is Rodriguez like? Keep reading he's a winger but surely we are looking for central players?

Jozy has huge potential, totally unrealised last season.

I'd be excited to get Rodwell

Heart? Nasty streak? Para nailed it, He's a striker, all needs is confidence, If the fans behave like last season, forget it.

He's a winger. Why don't we need wide players as well? It's the one position you need quality and depth and a bit of speed in the ranks. We have two players in the squad capable of delivering quality in that area, if one is low on form or injured forget goals, the attacking balance needs to be sustained or it's relegation fight, we're far too light out wide imo.

Rodriguez isn't in the Atlético squad for their trip to America. Read into this however you want... ‪#‎safc‬ http://www.vavel.com/es/futbol/atle...rnes-para-disputar-la-copa-euroamericana.html …

van Arnholt with his pace and Rodriguez ability to beat a man sounds like a naughty left side for me.

I don't care about Borini now, it's clear he doesn't fancy it, so move on and cheers for last season, simple.

I did hear Rodwell was a goer like, but that was Wednesday and nowts came of it. Would be POTENTIALLY a brilliant signing.

Loan or permanent. I've lost patience with loans. I really don't think we should be filling our team with loan players. Squad, perhaps. Team, no chance. Leaves us rebuilding year upon year.

I heard he'd HAD a medical, and that it was a loan deal, but there's been **** all since.

    Usually my snippets are reliable.

It would be a joke if the club did nothing and we started the season without a left back, as we've done before.

Probably, but if it's the only way to get him and he's the right man then I'll live with that frustration in return for premier league survival. Gutted about not getting Alonso and Borini, but without them we'd have gone down. I'm happy to let gus have a couple of seasons to build his team and make use of loan signings, but if we're still relying on them after that then I'm really gonna start kicking up a fuss. Unfortunately needs must at the moment

I agree but how can we not afford to buy our own players?
