Oh dear, doesn't sound very well organized. http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....ter-no-show-from-opponents-viitorul-1-6727105
"It's very unfair that going to the last 16, as we did two years ago, is not going to be recognised" Ronny Deila, Celtic boss. That was two years ago. He is sounding like a Nottingham Forest or Leeds United fans complaining because their team were European Champions or won something 30 years they are still good enough to be in the highest league.
I see that Blackpool only have 8 first team players at the moment and have cancelled their tour of Spain so that they can spend the time getting some more. Not ideal preparation with the season just 3 weeks away. They were due to play Granada.
It was interesting to see Harry Redknapp describing Rio Ferdinand's wage requst of £40,000 a week as ridiculously low and a massive pay cut for him. Just goes to show how hard it is to compete these days! In all fairness if he gets a half decent Ferdinand who can stay fit for most of the season then it could prove to be an extremely astute acquisition.
They did win at least. Trouble is the manager wants to bring overseas players in whilst the owners wants British players only.. Quite why such potential issues weren't brought up when Riga went for the job interview goodness knows. Knowing us we'd probably still lose to such a team!
Reminds me of when I was younger and when I looked in the paper at the scores and scorers, there was usually at least one trialist who had scored for one of the lower Scottish league teams. I used to think it was funny when more than one scored in a match and had to be shown as A. Trialist, B. Trialist etc.
Is this why Costa Rica's keeper Navas is one of the best? I tired just watching.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEX589YMK-w
Derby County midfielder George Thorne is ruled out for up to nine months with a knee injury. Shows that the best laid plans can go wrong.
I haven't actually welcomed you yet Busy - so welcome! Yes, last week Blackpool were 4/7 to get relegated. I think that will be even shorter now.
Probably fair to say all bets are off in terms of first Premier league manager to get sacked. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...espite-West-Ham-owners-Twitter-bombshell.html
