Afternoon all. I think a big worry is the Hock saying he would have been happy and think we deserved a 0-0 that's him admitting we've got no fire power. He shouldn't be happy or expect a 0-0 from his players or they won't even try. Didn't hear or see the game but the reports I've read don't sound promising. Phil Hay called it painful. I know it's only pre season and means nowt it's still a bit of a worry. We need new signings asap and get rid of a diamond formation that we just don't suit.
Well done for 'not saying' that ristac! Leeds fans crack me up, excited at scoring 16 in a pre season kick about, suicidal at losing to mansfield a week later. I guess I'm a dreary at the moment as I thought we were relegation fodder for most of last season and kept up by a striker who has now left. It would be a major achievement for any manager to get us to mid table with the current squad and i genuinely fear that may be beyond us. All hinges on whether the gamble of italian wannabees and cast offs come good (and whether any of the future arrivals are of a decent standard). It's way too early to tell for sure, new players, new formation, new style of play... it was never going to click overnight - but the lack of quality in the squad remains an obvious concern.
in all seriousness - Moro played wide right for us a couple of times last year ...... and amazingly, was quite good! he holds the ball well - difficult to shake off, has a good turn of speed and is a decent crosser of the ball......

And there it is, crystal clear for all to see ... my biggest fear is our attitude, and this starts at the top ... Hockaday has shown his pedigree as a leader of men with his "we deserved a 0-0" ... what a ridiculous statement to make ... he should have said we were rubbish, the performance was totally unacceptable from players wearing a Leeds shirt, and now it was time for the players to step and and start performing or face a season playing for the Blazing Squad ... how the hell do you "deserve a 0-0"?????????? Mighty listening to a Leeds pre season friendly on the radio, I've heard it ****ing all now. The lengths he will go to for his wumming knows no bounds. And for the record Mansfield only improved after we took off the 60 min team. No way were they as good as you make out. Nice try though.
