We sold out the horror show at West Brom and were lucky to have anyone else watch us for the entire season. After decades of nowt, especially with our geographical position, our way support is phenomenal.
I'm not knocking our support lads, far from it. We always take a good following wherever we go, I was just curious how many away games sold out, nothing else.
I know mate. Chelsea were charging about £55 last season if memory serves me right, put the cost of travel and the sky high prices of food and beer in that area, you are probably looking at about £200 - £250 for just one match. Madness.
Most people can't get to every match so will obviously target the 'easier' ones. Chelsea is ****e to get to and the supporters are a dreadful bunch of plastic or tourists ... .... having a chat, in a pub near the ground, means being able to speak Mandarin or inane drivel
Not at the Sunderland game which is what he's probably talking about .......... very poor support at the SOL.
No he wasn't out away support was well up on previous season's match on match. Due in part to the free travel. Wasn't our game at the SOL midweek? But I checked some stats and this is shy Peter Coates pays for fans who want to use a coach. Quote a few use own transport, me included. He is after all a bookie, and a rich one.
That shouldn't matter being slap bang in the middle of the country should it? No shame in admitting you'd rather mould clay.
It was a protest at the cost of away matches ....... fair play for keeping up that campaign for most of the season!
Ok then it did improve last season but not by much. you didn't sell out at Sunderland, Newcastle, Man city, Hull, Villa, Spurs & many more pal. I by shock if you sell out 5 games last season.
