Speaking of which, I saw an insane statistic the other day: Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and James RodrÃguez cost Real Madrid around €265M: more than what Ajax have spent on transfers (€232M) since their founding in 1900.
Nowt wrong with the Dutch league,i have watched Ajax many times live and probably been to all but four or five grounds in both Dutch divisions.Passionate and vocal support.
I pay for everything for two boxes but I watch very little. I don't watch the movies and I struggle to even watch match of the day.
Are you aware of the strong links in the Dutch league between Feyenoord and Excelsior? You were saying on another thread how you hate Greg Dyke's B-team idea. "Excelsior is a satellite club of Feyenoord. As such, Feyenoord gave Excelsior money and players (either on loan or free transfer). In 2005, the link between the two clubs was severed. It was reinstated in 2009, resulting in the loan of several Feyenoord players to Excelsior for the 2009â10 season." Basically it's Excelsior's job to feed Feyenoord with players. Their share an academy and if Feyenoord want a player from it he goes to them.
It's an extremely cynical price hike for what has been described, to me, over the phone, as an additional free of charge football channel. I have the full package, but BT is looking good. I have a pub within walking distance with Sky football, so . . . . . . They will lose TV, HD, phone and broadband, the lot, because they are greedy and it's a shame as Sky Go is useful, but son is keeping it so I can be one of his users. Most things are massively overpriced and the consumer appears toothless; sad really.
That's called a feeder club. We already have those here. Excelsior are a club who have existed since 1902, and are based in Rotterdam alongside Feyenoord. The teams which will appear here if Dyke gets his way will have zero history and will be brand new clubs. The Excelsior fans dislike the idea, but you probably glossed over that. Bit like the fans here. Please tell me how that is the same as introducing entirely new teams into a league, which are just reserve teams for the big clubs, wearing the same kits and badges as their main team, pushing already existing clubs with histories and many fans out of the door. Why should this be a reason to not watch Eredivisie? By that reckoning we shouldn't watch any football whatsoever.
