Feel sorry for the lad as it sounds like he was putting in some decent shifts. Hopefully it's all precaution.

Have the club explained about Davis & Tadic? Knocks or they'll just get more game time on Friday?

My understand of the situation was that RK was giving a final chance to some of the youngsters, who will then rejoin the U21 side.

Artur, Victor, Steven, Gastón etc now back and the new signings coming into the fold also and getting themselves some game time.

As said previously, Tadic's work permit hasn't come through yet so he can't play for us in the UK.

Just seen the highlights on you tube. Classic goalkeeping from Gazza at the end - though to be fiat he did spread himself well. Should have been the equaliser. Pelle is going to a handful for defences. Strangely, in the limited highlights no 20 caught my eye. Turned out to be billy sharp I think!

Generally a typical pre season friendly I thought

Pelle had some nice touches and vision first half ,unfortunately the ref allowed their defender to foul him on many occasions.
Reed looked very good and Clyne was his usual very good self down the right flank.
The game at times looked like a training session, Sinclair when he came on didn't do a lot, Billy was everywhere the first 5 mins he was on and then went missing.

Pelle has a very similar style of play to Lambert.

But with pace.....he was always looking to knock it on or play it through to the on running JWP.
I know it was only swindon but he looks pretty good so far.

Early days at the moment but definitely looks like there will be a fair bit more traditional wing play from us this season.

Yeah Koeman played a very simple traditional Dutch wingplay game at Feyenoord.

I've seen no evidence of pace from Pelle in these clips. He seems to largely be standing still in the box and receiving it to his feet.

He's good to listen to, isn't he old Ronald. Hope to see some new faces by the time we face Brighton on 31st.

Just got back from the game, was a very typical pre season game. Clyne and Reed stood out in the first half with some moments from JWP. Pelle had a few decent touches but wasn't very mobile and every time any of the defenders got the ball he would drop slightly deep and point at his head expecting a long ball which rarely came. McQueen and Isgrove were fairly anonymous whilst they were on in an attacking sense but both were decent at tracking back with the Swindon full backs and wingers.

2nd half was similar, Sharp and Mayuka both looked dangerous when they got on the ball but apart from the goal there weren't loads of chances. Number 15 (Stephens I think?) looked good in centre mid in the 2nd half.

All in all can't really learn much from these sorts of games, but as others have said it definitely looks like we need a winger or 2 with the way Pelle plays.

Nice to see views of someone actually at the game rather than judging by Twitter or two minute highlights!

Hopefully Pelle can adapt a bit. Isgrove has never impressed me.

Yeah it's only his third game and they're all against terrible opposition so he can't really adapt yet, and he's not playing with his normal teammates. The telling bit was saying that he's not really mobile - I certainly didn't think he was mobile from seeing him at Feyenoord but so many people have said it I was starting to doubt myself.

I remember Isgrove got a lot of hype on here last preseason but I was never really sure why. Didn't seem to have much outside of a decent turn of pace.
