    I meant 3-5-2.
Playing 2 up front and having 5 in the middle could be good imo.

Thing is Col I don't care that much about the kit, it's windows dressing really and as you know I'm never going to fit one! but if Tony can't let it go I can see Nike losing the design for year 2. Someone just explain to me why anyone would sign a contract where you don't get what you want?

As you know I'm not and never have been the biggest admirer of Tony & Phils business sense, but some on here have predicted a return to form and that the traing ground would fall though.

After Nearly 6 weeks of Lurking while I decorate, I just had to bite after that.

@Neil, you're not making many friends on here and if you keep it up you won't make many more. We are all entitled to an opinion on here, it's why we post and try to keep it friendly. I think the best way to look daft on here is to accuse respected posters of being *****philes. what do you think?

    Did you mean 3-5-2 Col?

I don't know. There's an awful lot of hard work to get done before 16 August to see a team where every player understands their role and how they fit in with the rest. On another level Holland did it at the World Cup. Robben aside an aging and virtually pace free team playing with great organisation and wonderful spirit. And a plan.

Re Fernandes, if you don't like him or trust him, bad luck. For all intents and purposes he is this club now, like it or lump it. I think the enormity of the task ahead is catching up with him after the elation of Wembley. If you want scripted soundbites I'm sure their are many preferable chairmen out there, or if you like silence try the Glazers or the Russian.

The Nike deal is worth £45m to us.

Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Bush Rhino, my understanding is that we signed up to the Nike deal quite late on, which didn't give us time to go through the design and manufacture process fully, forcing us to pick from the kit. The reason we've gone with Nike is purely commercial - they are the best at getting kits sold around the world. Makes sense to me, and I'll take a bad kit for one year if we get a great kit for three years after that, and a growing fan base/revenue stream.

Why did we sign up late on?

Did we forget, even after winging about it for years? All just a bit amateurish IMHO. Lets be honest in the time it took to not get a training ground we could have just spent maybe a couple of day sorting out the windows dressing.

I'm not saying boo Tony. Just with no Caterham distractions now, can't they just run things a little better.

Business sense :) I would rather trust someone that is worth $ 650M after starting an airline than you that has probably little business sense to that degree. And always remember it's HIS money that he puts into QPR ! S o easy to criticise when you are not involved and not using YOUR money !!

I can't remember to amount involved, but I'd say it was a big amount of wonga.

    I corrected myself mate.............yes.......3-5-2.

I'm excited by it and it allows us to play two up front whilst still having 5 in midfield. The signing of Caulker or someone of his ilk is vital though.

The rest of your post says "if you want" etc. I presume you mean "if one wants", as I posted in support of TF.

Sorry but you deserved it :(. Even using Football sense, it's still his money to lose, what would we have had without him?? I admire him big time, if anyone wants to put THEIR money up front then they are allowed to get it wrong. It's so easy to have a "right" opinion when you don't risk any of your money. :(

Yeah, it wasn't directed at you mate, apologies.

I like that formation too. Redknapp says he's played it before at Portsmouth so presumably he knows how to coach it. I still think we need a proper creative midfielder though. As you know i like Granero, but I'm not daft enough to rely on him given past experience, no matter how much he sweats in training. And a right wing back.

Granero has undoubted talent. Maybe this season he'll click. Clean slate from me for all till I watch them play.
I agree.............we need a creative midfielder and a right wing back. Maybe Naughton?

A couple of forwards are a must too.

Sorry '76 but doesn't paying for tickets & merchandise give me the right to have an opinion.

How do we know what would happen with out him? come on.

Your quite right though, I'm not stupid enough to buy any football club.

I thought TF was honest and sincere in the interview. He treated us as adults and told us the truth rather than feed us BS. I'd prefer it that way every time. Like us, he knows it won't be easy but he seems prepared to give it his best shot. He admitted his past mistakes. Would Flabio ever have done such a thing? Or Vincent Tan? I think we are so, so lucky to have him as Chairman, supported by our other shareholders (Kamarudin, Rubin and the Mittals).

You ALWAYS have a right to an opinion.... Of course... But agreement is another thing !!

He has put his money where his mouth is............he has the right to make mistakes !! Whenever you or anyone else does the same I will support you too !!

Not his money really though, its against the club at the end of the day, Tony's group just back the loans.

Someone else on here may know more than me but I think they did write off some debt a while back but not 100% Not sure what capital has been put through the club though.

£176 Million in debt is the current balance sheet. - the 120m Bobby earned.

After interest of rate of 11% and handling charges by Fujian transactions the bank charges, tax man the debt should at least go down to at least £175.5 Million.

Did you not read the accounts? The 'debt' is nearly all (minus £20m or something to Barclays) funded directly by the owners, in direct proportion to their shareholding. They aren't loans, its cumulative losses, which the owners 'own'. The club doesn't have anything like that in assets (until we are firmly entrenched in the prem, new stadium etc). If they pull out the club is unsaleable, they have to write these losses off - as they intimated they may do at the fans meeting a few months ago.

I remember they said they may write off the losses but they were a little vague as to when.

I though they had divided the club in two, one to hold the debt. The principle being one has no value without the other. The club still owes tony who owes the bank, which is what I said really, until serviced or written off it gains interest.

Rhino, you gonna get your sh*t together and fix us up with some decent streams this season or we gonna have to endure the same old stop-start fuzzy sh*te you served up last time round?
