I've been a reader of the site since it's inception, but have started contributing only recently, so I accept that you may think my comments on the subject of "banning" shouldn't count. Overt racism is a no-brainer and warrants an automatic ban. However I've noticed there is a hell of a lot of abuse that originates from the SAFC regulars of the site. On many occasions, a contributor from the NUFC site may post a thread or comment that some of the regular posters disagree with. Within a very short space of time, abuse is aimed at the outside poster from various SAFC supporters, then all Hell breaks loose and the abuse becomes a nasty, bullying tirade. The verbal abuse is a two way thing, not restricted to non-SAFC posters, so the decision to ban someone should be the responsibility of the neutrals, ie the Mods. The Sunderland site is probably the best within Not606, and certainly the busiest. There are quite a few impressive posters, and sadly one or two not so impressive. Banning people has to be a decision made in cold blood. It could result in the site losing more than it gains. I realise it's a contentious subject, but it should make a good discussion.

Every member has his own opinion and they ALL count (some more than others mind!) And just for information... You are spot on with what have posted
Racism and stuff along those lines gets an automatic ban if it's directed at someone. I know a lot don't like bans so I, personally, always ask an SAFC poster to edit a comment if they step over the line. NUFC and other posters are less likely to get the same courtesy due to the fact that it always end up in me getting grief. I completely agree about SAFC poster causing bother. It's frustrating when I get an email from one of our lads reporting a post, I go to look at it only to see that our lad who reported the comment baited the poster in question in the first place. What the **** are we supposed to do about that!?
It's a thankless job at times you are doing mate, and the only advice I could offer is don't take any of the grief you get personally..
