Alonso or Rose

According to reports Hull are lining up a 5m bid for Rose now that Spurs are close to securing Ben Davies to be their new first choice left back.

Rose was excellent for us 2 years ago, and lets not forget he said he'd love to come back if Spurs didnt want him.
Alonso was equally as good the time he had with us. Out the 2 who would you prefer us to sign?.Personally id like both but if we could only get one who would you choose??

 

Alonso for me but I wouldnt be dissapointed with Rose.

 

Alonso for me, but Rose is a good secondary target. If moves are being made for him we need to come to an agreement on Alonso sharpish, we don't want to miss out on both.

Alonso knows Gus's system, that's a big advantage mate! Although rose was bloody fantastic for us in his loan season! Bloody hell I I don't know mate lol... Nah Alonso based on last season champ!

 

Apparantly Swansea want Alonso to replace Davies and West ham are still after him.
Id be gutted if he went to one of our Prem rivals.

If i had to pick Alonso

lets be honest tho about 8m for 2 tidy left sided players would be brilliant business. However this is Sunderland we are talking about and we wont sign a left back in order to keep tradition of NEVER having one, then fail in converting a midfielder.

You need 2 players fighting for each and every posistion imo, sign um both GUS

 

Agree 100% mate, however, we need to accept that Gus will need 4 or 5 windows to build his squad, it's in that much of a mess. We will need to utilise the loan market this season, left back cover could be an area that'll see an overseas loan in place.

Rose has more pace, Alonso can be left wanting defending against pace. However Alonso is better in the air. Better positionally and I would say provides a better final ball. Add to that that Rose is often injured and Alonso grafted hard every game. Alonso for me...
