I feel like slitting my wrists after reading that. He tries to undo the doom and gloom in the last couple of paragraphs but by then it's too late. I enjoy Clive's long winded efforts. . . . But this isn't one of them unfortunately.
Exactly. Am I stupid to think it's possible to take supporting a football team too seriously and only to want to get a bit of entertainment and camaraderie out of it?
Great article; hard to disagree with anything that's being written. Too big a dose of reality for some?
Apparently so. Have to disagree with Clive. It's a rotten signing. 2% of the Sky money gone already on a 35-year old with a shonky back and dodgy knees? Nice going Teflon Tone. And "we've learnt from our mistakes"? Really? When Teflon Tone took us over we were on the rise for the first time in a generation. He's squandered all of that, racking up £170m debt in the process. If he walked tomorrow we'd be screwed thanks to his reckless and irresponsible gambling. FFP anyone? Dull, dry and remote now, FFP and it's ramifications will be all over this board soon.
Dreadful article, club and fans on a feel good factor and all he does is try and paint a dark picture, very negative and bad for what we stand for,is he a fan? The timing after a terrific summer to write dross like that? Thankfully Tony Fernandes and the Mittals dont get unsettled by articles like that and if they do who can blame them?
You've criticised both this article and Wally Downes Jr's so far, without actually explaining which parts you disagree with. Some might think the "anti-rio" brigade are a bore, but at least they tend to back up their views.
Difficult to refute any arguments there. Just hope the balance of new signings will signify a change of direction. At least offers for Caulker & Iceman point in that direction.
You can say that again. If he trimmed it back to about 20,000 words we'd be able to tackle it without having to take a day off work
I dont take much note of the author, all I know is I say what I think afterwards,Harry & Tony have said what their policy is and I have faith in them
Everyone should with the way we are being run. The head in the sand brigade just simply don't care. I have no confidence in him, the trouble is now its his ownership or extinction. We are simply unsellable, the club couldn't be given away as they will have to take on a quarter of billion worth of debt.
If Tony wanted out the Mittals would take it over..Amit is very passionate about the club and Mr Mittal seems very enthusiastic too,I dont think they would see QPR go under and I dont think Tony will do either so Doomsday is a lot further off than you think?
