Think we have 2 quality players for every position now (3 keepers, 3 strikers). With Romeu signing a new deal it'll be interesting to see who Jose's 4/5 DM are. Fabregas (if that's where he'll play), Matic, Van Ginkel, Romeu, Mikel, Ramires. And who will be No.1? Can't see both Courtois and Cech in the squad! Would like to see one or two youngsters in the squad also. My 25 for next season: Courtois, Schwartzer, Beeney Azpilicueta, Ivanovic Terry, Cahill, Zouma, Omerou Luis, Bertrand Fabregas, Matic, van Ginkel, Romeu, Ramires Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle, Willian, Salah, (Baker or Swift or Brown or Piazon!) Costa, Lukaku, Torres Nice to be done early doors!
Would love to see Cech stay, he has given so much. but really can't see it. Massive dilemma but I think Courtois has to be no 1. I remember feeling the same way when Cech first came in to replace Carlo! Although we were lucky in that Carlo stayed as no 2!!!
Just had a thought.... Since January CFC have spent appx £1m. Mata £35m, DeBruyne £17m, Luiz £50 and Ba £5m = £107m in. Matic £22m, Salah £12m, Fabregas £27m, Costa £32m and Luis £15m = £108m out! So not only have we done out business early, we've hardly spent a penny!!
Chelsea have a great squad but I think the weak link is Mourinho. Cowardly antifootball doesn't suit your players' talents. Ramires' career has effectively been killed by being turned into nothing but a thug on the pitch.
Looks a very decent squad as long as Costa fires up quickly. If that midfield can be creative and Jose doesn't play too much safety first, we could score plenty. Fancy those front and wide men scoring plenty with someone setting them up, instead of having to make everything happen as happened too often last year. Good year ahead methinks.
jokes aside this certainly is a very big season for jose, arguably his biggest test yet, as he has to deliver the title.
