    Let's hope some good can come out of this tragedy and fans from both clubs can develop a more friendly rivalry..

    Like RAW said on post 101, it would be great if this tragic event could help cool some of the temperature between our 2 clubs.

    Mackems have stepped up to the mark here and presented a common bond between us. That bond has been there long before a ball was ever kicked.

    We would never deny the rivalry between us, and that should never be denied or discouraged, but it should never be beyond rationality.

    When all is said and done, we are brothers, family, friends.

    I think our rivalry is fantastic. Football wise we hate each other, always have, always will. But when it comes down to it we're cut from the same cloth. We're just two sets of very passionate supporters who l, when it comes down to it, do have respect for each other. What the sunderland fans have done here is absolutely amazing, hats off to you

    I have visted this post numerous times since this awful event unfolded. I wanted to write something, but I have struggled to find the right words to say. Perhaps there are no words to truly reflect the shock and utter disbelief that this tragedy envokes.

    My thoughts are with all those who have been affected by the loss of these two true supporters of NUFC. RIP Liam and John x
