7 goals in 32 games....Not even a 1 in 4 striker...£14m!? Haven't even got to the wages yet...would you be happy with that outlay at Lesta?
We might just have dodged a bullet with Lescott, he's only been at WBA 4 wks. and he's in the national press moaning about the place ,state's he's unhappy regards transfer targets they said they were bringing in, and have not yet appear, there's six wks. yet to go before kick off, city haven't got all there targets in yet and are not force to get them, that's football. Either the story's bullshit, which I think it is, if not thank god he didn't end up at city, sound's like a big time Charlie to me.
Crash and Burn hopefully. Do the Brsdy bunch ever learn ? Yep saw that. Well Lescott made his bed and now he has to lay on it. Lol.
Not saying that, i'm just saying you can't compare that deal to Snodgrass. Put it this way, everyone outside of Hull thought that 8m for Livermore was (and is) absolutely bonkers. A midfielder with only 3 goals and 4 assists (whoscored.com) isn't much to shout about, but (according to you lot) he was valuable to the side and you payed a bit more because he knew your system. I personally wouldn't have paid half that for Borini, but I can see why Sunderland would pay an inflated fee but just not to that extent.
Borini scored some big goals for them last year and without him, they would have probably been down. As you say, he's worth half of hat to everyone else, but very valuable to Sunderland. I think Livermore is £2-3m overpriced.
Blackpool are lining up as follows in their game against Penrith: TEAM: Trialist, Waddington, Trialist, Perkins, McMahon (C), Dunne, Zenjov, Trialist, Trialist, Grant, Trialist. SUBS: Barkhuizen, Trialist, Highan, Telford, Moulden, Gregory, Trialist.
Borini for 13-14m is ridiculous he scored not many last year, They were taking the piss that we hadn't improved on our last season squad for 8m on Jake but that much on a non leathal stricken is funny.
Campbell will score goals for you. I'm not sure about Ulloa as I've never seen him play, I can't comment on him really.
Palace targets going elsewhere by the looks of it http://www.southwales-eveningpost.co.uk/Swansea-City-stay-confident-Gylfi-Sigurdsson-deal/story-21660604-detail/story.html
I was away at the time of the cup game against Brighton at the Amex, I watched the replay though, can't remember him TBH.
But he's still not a £7m striker... he's a championship player for god's sake who only scored 14 goals last year!
In the context of all these inflated fees, £8.5m for Remy looks like daylight robbery. Great piece of business by Liverpool.
