Does Remy have a release clause of £8.5 million or something???? I also know there is an age difference! But can someone explain to me why the huge difference in cost???? Is it cos Liverpool know we could be desperate!?
I read last night that Remy has a £8.5 mil release clause if going to a Top 4 club (£14 mil to any other club) I'm with you tho... Bizarre to say the least. But as I posted on a different thread... All players are worth the same.. What ever someone is prepared tp pay for them!
Remy does have a release clause Anyway there's four years difference between the two, we'll get a good 8-9 years from Borini or sell him on for a similar fee. Not the case with Remy
Release clause and slightly suspect attitude I guess. Great player for £8.5million though, no clause and he'd be over the £14million for sure.
Borini playing for Liverpool against Preston, imo blows any talk of the transfer - let alone the fee - out of the water
No, Rodgers has confirmed that a fee has been agreed and it's now down to personal terms but nothing has been agreed yet.
You guys are a little short at minute anyway I guess, makes sense to use players who haven't been to World Cup. It's good for us anyway if he gets a game in before he signs, seems a decent relationship between the 2 clubs. I'm delighted to hear it's Fabio's wish to come, and that he hasn't been forced out, that's such a different feeling for me.
Yeah, I think had we had all our WC players back, prob wouldn't be playing him. Just hoping he doesn't get injured and ruin the deal It seems like he just wants to play football and was happy to stay at Liverpool but he knew he wouldn't be first choice here where has obviously enjoyed his time with you guys and more likely to get first team football which at his age he should be getting. Give him more chance getting back into the Italy team as well. Now.. do you guys need a RB? Johnson is a very good one
Hahaha, **** no mate! I'm staggered you haven't replaced the lad, seems the glaring hole really. Watched some of your game v Brondby the other night and Coutinho looked sharp already, there's a few clips floating around but he was showboating all over the place, he might have a major season. Take Skrtel or Agger off you, maybe £5million, bit goodwill
Factor in that Remy will be on 80k a week and Borini will be on half of that. Thats 2m a year extra Liverpool will be paying.
How way lads, it is obvious why Borini is worth more than Remy... A) Borini has a driving licence B) Borini has never been sulied playing for newcastle and cannot be classed as soiled goods. My earlier comments were that it seems strange that anyone would risk a "£14 million pound" transfer fee for the sake of 45 minutes in a friendly - it is beyond logic. I hope he signs however I doubt it will involve that amount of money changing hands
Gonads made the great point that if he does well enough to raise the fee to 14m then he'll probably be worth about 20m by then.
