Decent fee for a proven goals scorer. Would have loved him back at SJP but you can understand him wanting CL footbal and would always choose that over us.

Prone to the odd injury or two as well, but still a decent sigining for them.

Crackin' deal, especially when you hear they've screwed the Mackems for £14m over Borini. I know which one I'd have had.

£14m for Borini is crazy money, especially if a £15m bid from us would tempt Chelsea into selling us Lukaku.

Has this been confimed, last I saw reported was Remy being told to lower his wage demands, same as Arsenal and Tottenham. Seems they all want him but not at his wage.

He's good but I wouldnt be overly optimistic if I were a lpool fan, Think he'l come off the bench more then starting.

£14 million is a s**t load, but the transfer market is screwed up so compared to other deals isn't that bad really. Or are you just aware of his record against you lot?

Remy is all right not brilliant, not sure where you are getting that idea from. Besides, its only becauser Lpool finished so high compared to our teams that the fee is so low.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddd its far from a done deal.

£14million for Borini, £11 million for McCormack. The transfer market is ridiculous at the moment. Mackems well and truly mugged.

The proof is in the pudding- Borini might well have a cracker of a season next year. His form was decent without setting the world alight though (10 goals in total) so its a risk for Sunderland.

The Borini fee is reputed to be in the region of 8.5 million rising up to a possible 14 million based on appearances and goals scored..It doesn't sound so bad in that context..

Borini deal has fallen through. His agent claims borini rejected the move to stay and fight for his place.

14m for Borini is outrageous. That is the market though, Liverpool are sitting pretty, Sunderland are desperate for new players.

Remy looks a far better player and is a snip at 8.5m but then he does have a release clause. The market is a mess with all these clauses, the money swilling around in certain clubs.

Look at Shaw. Everyone is up in arms but you are buying a player is likely to be at the top for the next 12 years plus. To a club like Man U that is invaluable. The issue is every club now selling a full back is looking saying "well if Luke Shaw is 28m..........."

Rough part is, even for 14 mio, Borini doesn't seem to want to go back to the Mackems.

For me, verdict on Shaw is out. Come on, let him come up against Ronaldo or Müller first, it's a massive price tag. He could turn out to be not so hot.

Remy is quality, closest player I've seen to being like Henry in the last few years. Sadly I think he might be right up there amongst top scorers next season... not sure how him and Sturridge will work out tho. So could be Remy is coming to mainly sit on the bench.

Good buy by Liverpool.. I suspect he always wanted away to a CL club, but we should have been pushing Remy to sign permantently since the moment he set foot in SJP..

Pool got themselves a bargain there, He will slot into Liverpool well

Shaw.. If he proves to be the Ashely Cole type indispensable type of Left back for the next 10 yrs... Man U have..gotten themselves a bargain... and they can afford/have the ambition to invest in/gamble on that happening (gotta say it IS a daft price for a relatively untested kid even with all the right attributes/talents etc) but fair play to them its their cash

Its how we should be approaching our signings (not the price though)....long term investment...on hidden gems..not the seemingly ..find em, develop them for a couple of years, piss em off with lack of ambition, sell em ..start all over again..like Cabs etc
