Evening all, A few years ago, in the Prem days, I was a member of the supporters club and used to go to quite a few away games. I'm thinking of rejoining for next season and was wondering if anyone can let me know how easy/difficult it is to get away tickets? I know our away following is one of the biggest in the country and with some pretty small away sections in this league is it still quite easy to ge tickets or do they sell out in about 5 seconds? Cheers
Pretty hard to get tickets even as a member. Need to be a season ticket holder to have a good chance, and apply within about 10 minutes at most sometimes. Can vary.
Next season, it's on a match-by-match basis. We'll still get some good allocations at places like Coventry and Palace, so you have a good chance of getting tickets to the 4000+ allocations as a member if you can apply early. It'll set you back £40 for the membership alone though and you have to be at a computer at 10:00 on a Monday morning. If you join one of the Regional Members Clubs, I think they all put their applications in at the same time and without the lag of computers, so they have a better chance of getting tickets. I think.
the word for away tickets is "rocking horse ****" especially for me... im a memember still but gave my season ticket up when i left so its impossible for me to get a ticket for the away end...... I travel back around 8 times a seasona nd try to do a couple of games in the week and saturday....im sorry to say many a time i could not celelbrate a goal as i was in the home seast when we were away but i love the home games and dont mind paying if i have too..its a bit of a addiction but i look at the away end with envy.... i so want to be in there instead im sat with some old geezers saying what a bunch of nutters we are !!!! and we are dirty... Funny as Fu~~
Leeds United (under Ken Bates), the only football club in the world that turns away their own supporters, because they have an up front money policy that quite frankly stinks. If we played in Iceland, they would probably ban a Leeds fan from Iceland watching his team in his country, whilst sitting with his/her fellow Leeds fans, due to a policy! It is endemic of how badly this club is run (under Bates) and basically puts 2 fingers up at the Leeds fans.
What? :L We turn turn away our own fans because we have an upfront policy? Well first of all on home games tickets are on sale on the day but the club advice you not to because of the large queues. And for the away games all of the allocation is sold weeks before the game, and even if it wasn't it is the home teams choice to whether we are allowed to buy tickets on the day.
