hmmm - now your suffering from a distinct case of 'foot in mouth' self contradiction in a paragraph - average is the norm so if he was average so must the majority of his team mates have been surely? - yet they were 'good'?? My original question was whether you had seen him play - I'm sure you are intelligent enough to realise that the correct context therein would be play generally rather than a single game at a world cup. Now as for that game itself - Algeria's opening game in the tournament was against their groups' favourites Belgium - and their opening game plan was not to lose, not to concede - so they had 10 men back behind the ball with a lone (very isolated) front man Slimani and they looked to hit Belgim on the break which they did ... and then went even more defensive hoping to hold on .. Mahrez, whose strength are as an attacking player running with the ball had the tactical shackles on - being tasked with defensive duties, primarily protecting his full-back - which he did a damn sight better than England's wide men managed in their opening game against Italy So in the proper context of my question you haven't really seen him play yet - but you will. Last season at our place he ripped Benoit Assou-Ekottu a new one - and I'm looking forward immensely to him doing it to other Prem full backs this season - particularly ones that were also in that world cup ... now why does the name Figeroa spring to mind ...
no average can be below the the majority. ie the entire lcfc squad has more than the average number of legs.
