Now as for that game itself - Algeria's opening game in the tournament was against their groups' favourites Belgium - and their opening game plan was not to lose, not to concede - so they had 10 men back behind the ball with a lone (very isolated) front man Slimani and they looked to hit Belgim on the break which they did ... and then went even more defensive hoping to hold on .. Mahrez, whose strength are as an attacking player running with the ball had the tactical shackles on - being tasked with defensive duties, primarily protecting his full-back - which he did a damn sight better than England's wide men managed in their opening game against Italy So in the proper context of my question you haven't really seen him play yet - but you will.
