I don't know the politics of the area but one side said they would cancel the deal. Maybe someone closer could confirm? Just checked, it was the tories who said they'd review it should they get in. Saw this on LFW too. ,............ Just picking up on this. 1/ TF/AA are trying to lease out majority of the 100 planes ordered as they can't afford them and in hindsight wasn't the best of ideas. It's great PR buying 100 planes, best low cost airline (in Asia!) etc 2/ Going back to Japan....after pulling out last time as they lost a ton a cash. Currently losing a ton in Phillipines. 3/ Mittals still involved with QPR. They are just not pumping cash into the club as they did last year and want to see the club run properly with what it's got. They don't want to dilute their shareholding any further. Amit is on the board of AA (just joined) but not investing, probably using it as experience of being on a public board. 4/ AA and many such airlines are struggling to raise cash. The Malay government will bail out MAS, albeit it will need even more cash/help after the yesterdays terrible disaster
Honest to God. Why do you even support this club. You get **** all enjoyment out of it and spend the rest of your time ****ting on every thing the club does.
My personal view is that of disappointment in the lack of progress for a state of the art training facility for our first team and state of the art development facility for our youth teams. I'm a big fan of TF, but feel like he has given up too easy versus the enormous benefits we would get from the Warren Farm project (against a few nimby's - how will he cope with the challenges of building of a new stadium?!?!?). We're talking of £6m - this isn't a financial decision or cost cutting exercise, this (to me) is giving in too easily.
you want me to be happy at the club pulling out of building the training ground, I take it youll be dancing in the streets if he says we arent getting a new stadium?
I have to say that to a degree I do share Flyers concerns. I hate all this backtracking coming out of the club. One minute it's vital that we change the club crest, then suddenly that's dropped. Then it's essential that we own our own training ground, then all of a sudden it's somehow better to remain tenants at Harlington.. I don't buy it. What's next? Maybe in 6 months time they'll decide that now we've replaced the pitch that we don't need a new stadium after all. I'd rather see the board stick to their guns, especially on Warren Farm.
