I read that too Pete. I was prepared to give Stapes the benefit of the doubt on a lot of things and blame it on Todd, Gardner and Co. But if he is truly mixed up with Heaney, then he's sunk even further in my estimation.
 
I wonder who he thinks did that then? A more suitable quote might have been "I was once friendly with Paul (Stapleton) who I now think is a complete tosser and I am glad I'm not friendly with him anymore. I think he is abysmal". For an accountant I don't think he is that offay with figures unless he has an excuse and his calculator is broken.
 
The Green Army would have more favoured this quote;

"The reality is I HAD a great friendship with Paul [Stapleton, former Argyle chairman] – who I think has treated THE FANS abysmally".
