    Surely flights should be diverted from Ukrainian airspace considering what's going on.

    It looks like the Russians, working with the Ukranian rebels, shot it down by mistake. They posted on a Russian social media site, that they'd shot down a Ukranian military aircraft, but immediately deleted it when they realised it was a commercial airliner.

    The world's full of nutters.

    News outlets saying it WAS shot down.


    FIFA say that Russia and Ukraine will be kept apart from all draws. No time limit on this one i suspect.

    Shot down by either Russians or Pro Russian Rebels with a SAM. Pity the Russians wouldn't **** off and leave smaller countries alone. Either way it was a Russian missile that brought it down

    Putin was on the phone to Obama when it happened talking about the sanctions against Russia when he was told of it. Sanctions might only tighten now which will make relations even frostier between the 2 countries
