It really goes against the grain for me to have anything like a decent bet on a ladies amateur race but TAPIS LIBRE 6.10 Epsom 12-1 just looks too good to miss.
The winner of this race last year and running off a mark 5lb it definitely looks like this one has been laid out for the race by the very shrewd Mick Easterby. Should be ably assisted by last years winning rider and track form here counts for a lot as you all will know!

Am going against you stick, sorry! Although I would like to back Megan Nichols just do t think the horse is good enuff hanging wildly lto and she will have her hands full to keep him straight but am going for the hat trick hero last minute Lisa! Epsom course form is everything but a lot of this field have own here so that chucks that out the window <laugh> if she can step up to the 1m4 she is a progressive type and won over 1m2 with abit in hand which suggests the distance shud not cause any problems. As mentioned she won her last two starts last one at this track and the one before that at brighton (very much like Epsom)

A Definate winner tomorrow must be BRITISH EMBASSY as STICK put it up last time in the opener at Leicester. Was unlucky as he was behind but ran on really well at the end. Think the extra furlong will suit but the horse that beat him last time ran poorly today and could only finish 3rd. Any thoughts Stick?

I'd be surprised if O'Brien targets this race like Weld does Wooly. This is a proper bet for me at the 9/4. The pipe opener LTO was a terrific run if you consider she never really had a prayer against the Gold Cup winner.

Every season Steve Taplin asks all the trainers that talk to him for a two year old that is their "bargain buy" and every year EJH gives him a juvenile that wins. That is how this horse got on my radar in the first place. She had two outsiders run huge races at Sandown tonight and her string is in fine form. Should have won last time but mine only seem to win "next time" these days! Lump on!

Lucks been terrible lately, haven't really seen a main banker in a few days though.

Hoping for a bit better today but stakes are small anyway

4 15 Hamilton - O Ma Lad 6/1
4 45 Hamilton - Fol Hollow 12/1, Wicked Wilma 20/1

One bet today. 4.50 Killarney. Sizing Italy 15-8. Geraghty takes the ride and this horse looks like its been completely laid out for this one. Big win bet.

Just been announced that TAGHROODA will miss the Irish Oaks in favour of a crack at the King George. Fair play to connections, she'll get a good chunk of weight allowance as a 3yo filly, just over a stone from the older horses.

Irish Oaks now looks substandard which is a shame.

Morning, troops.

Tapis Libre will deffo have been laid out for the race as it’s owned by the lady amateur riders Mummy. Can imagine that old girl will have had a word with old boy Easterby at the start of the campaign and commanded, ‘Hired help, make sure Tapis Libre is at his peak for Epsom Downs on 17 July. You follow.’ I won’t be wagering on the heat but my enthusiasm for your gelding is tempered by the fact that the old rogue, Sir Mark Prescott, has gone out and booked top lady pilot and previous race winner, Serena Brotherton, what a lovely name for a filly by the way. Not going to contemplate what nefarious means he employed to do this but together her and Sagesse look a hard combination to beat. How standards have dropped though. I remember in the past lady amateurs could only ride in this if they either had a personal reference from Her Majesty, God bless her and save her, or their Daddy owned half a county. In ’14 they are allowing fillies called Ella and Carol to ride in the race! Cor blimey.

The one at Epsom that I do really like though is RELATED (8.25). Was well regarded when trained by Clive Cox but for one reason or another never fulfilled this promise. Transferred to the very capable David Simcock earlier this year he has run 3 nice races for this handler, this term, being on the premises in all these events. Tonight’s race doesn’t look the strongest ever and I’d be surprised if Related couldn’t oblige in this off 83. Furthermore, the promising Cam Hardie takes off another 5 pounds. Whilst the fitting of a visor is expected to prove most effective for Related. Ground and trip look ideal so there really should be no excuses. Current quotes of 7/2 look most generous to my eye.

Good luck all.

This has well and truly hacked me off! Had a chunky bet on her for the Irish oaks last night. Obviously this will now just be thrown straight out of the window. It just really winds me up when all this talk comes out about the race beforehand only for them to then be withdrawn. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has just gifted money to the bookies. That's basically what this is
