Good Morning Everyone,

Federico Viviani’s agent has confirmed Leeds United have been in touch with Roma about a potential move for the midfielder, reports Sky Sports.

The 22-year-old had loan spells in Serie B with Pescara and Latina last season and is expected to depart the Stadio Olimpico after just nine appearances in three years. His agent, Giovanni Ferro, has confirmed that Leeds are in talks with Roma regarding a potential move but the Yorkshire side will face competition for his signature.

The sporting director of Sampdoria Carlo Osti has told the Italian press that their defender Gaetano Berardi will be heading to Leeds United in the transfer window. The Championship side have been linked with the Swiss international in the past couple of weeks.

At least this will mean competition for Byram.

Lets have a look at how pre season is shaping up!

Hmmm, not sure. Too early to tell. There are a lot of hit n miss there.

How has renewed their season tickets?

Are you going to?

Was it good value for money?

Morning - I still maintain we are bottom 5 with the current squad, I have resigned myself to the fact that we are not going to sign a single big name player or a marquee signing, I just have to hope that some of these we're are being linked with actually put pen to paper sooner rather than later and turn out to be real gems.

I am still also shocked and disgusted with the club for even considering offering Nile Ranger a trial with us.

Mornin all

I live too far away from Leeds for a season ticket, but my membership has already been renewed. Good value? Well at less than a pound a week why not. I find it hard to believe how many on here moan about past owners for not spending millions of their own money on the club when they wont even spend £40 pounds a year themselves on being a member.

We are linked with so many players, I won't get excited about him until he signs. I would bet a very large chunk of money on him not signing, if we were willing to spend that kind of money then why entertain the thought of trialling Nile Ranger. Who knows, Cellino has surprised me a few times already, maybe he does have a few gems lined up ready to sign, I hope so.

Even if we got him for free and his wages were paid for by someone else, why have such a disruptive nasty influence in the dressing room. Could you share a room with a guy who beats women and was on trial for rape? I couldn't

Then he should know better and if he is pushing for the signing I have lost all respect for him <ok>

Wait till we offer Ranger a 2 year deal, Hockaday will be sacked before Christmas and we are left with this scum bag.

My old nickname was pod, from a covers band down your way called Peter pod and the peas, as my name is Peter.

The Xb comes from a Buell I used to have that was a XB12. So when I joined their forum I became Xbpod.

Good morrow Matt and co from a very warm sunny Bardsey why live in Mallorca when we live in Gods County!
Nile Ranger I would prefer Tonto Guedetti Uncle Tom Cobley and all!
I have written a piece today on how many Italians have been successful crossing overit doesn't bode well I'm afraid for our experimental group .
Viviani we are suppose to be buying will it be £2m or £2m euros?
I doubt Poleon will get much playing time nor Walters and probably Byram will be in a more forward role with Guatano playing full back cant see Thompson playing much either
We still need more pace and penetration on the wings to be come an effective force
Agard Jennings Burke and Jamie Murphy our my candidates
As a pensionista I pick my games and we desperately need a marquee signing

Morning all

Ristac the day you get excited about anything i predict the world will end <laugh> Cheer up mate, we now have an owner who is a football man and wants the best for the club. Do you think he is gonna let this club slide into league one and ruin his investment?

On other news just seen this on twitter ................Retweeted by LeedsUnitedItalia

+++ Gaetano Berardi, Swiss right back from Sampdoria is a new Leeds player +++ #lufc. The deal was meant to be close so could be true.
As for Nile Ranger, not a risk i would take. I can't see us singing any big names especially as the wages they command are above what Cellino is willing to pay. Whose to say some of the players we are signing won't turn out to be top players.

I don't really understand this marquee signing thing. Which of our more recent marquee players were marquee signings at the time like McCormack, Beckford, Snodgrass, Gradel, Becchio. All of them were relatively unknown - the key to the Championship is making smart signings. The issue is we don't really know how smart these signings are as I don't think many of us know much about Italian football. We are just going to have to wait and see really - I don't think we will get relegated at all this season even with the team we have at the moment. Promotion though seems a stretch too far though.

What sells large numbers of season tickets expectations and a marquee signing so I expect one that's alland Guedetti fits that bill at £1.5m

LOL I wanted Cellino in, I was exited when he got the okay but in all seriousness can you really pick out a positive and exciting period of time in the last 10 years? Our promotion from League one and that season probably the exception. I wanted Cellino because it was him or nothing, I knew it would be rocky and I had a feeling we would end up with more players having to be looked up on Wiki

If you met me you would see that I am not a negative person, I know it comes over that way, I am just being realistic. In the last 3 years alone you could right a book on quality players we have been linked with and how many have we actually signed? None is the answer, this season is slowly unfolding to be much the same, we get the ones we are unsure of and have not heard of before, the more exciting ones we fail with.
