But the club have shown us a pic of a red panda! Everyone knows what this means. If it had been a giant panda then obviously that would be a different kettle of beans. Red panda at night, Saints fans' delight...
Well from what i member from that evening was everyone falling into a panic about what he said, then slightly calming down after picking it apart, i dont remember him saying anything like i am 100% committed to saints next season
He explicitly said he's looking forward to building to progression over the next few seasons with us, or some other bullshit like that.
"I am not looking to leave" is very different to "my future lies at Burnley" or some other comment about his future being there, for sure. Just means, 'Hey, I'm not forcing my way out of a Premier League club where I'm popular', but if a better offer came in...
Good PR if you ask me then when a acceptable offer comes in then club and player saves face. If his intentions were to stay with Burnley then surely his contract would be renewed.
So the latest from Guan is: "Everything is negotiable, When I said Lallana and Liverpool should help negotiate the 25% sell on clause, I was told it couldn't be done be done. When Everton and Schalke came in for Tadic, it was said that we had no chance. And when Pelle dragged on, some said it was a dead move. Now i'm not saying that D-Ings is coming here. But I will say that a lot can happen in a week, with the possibility of clubs moving onto other targets (that old chestnut), improved offers, and yes, further signing making a club seem a more attractive proposition" Blimey.
I think I preferred the Red Panda Plenty of rumours on other players, which ones will float Danny's boat i'm not so sure, but Redmond & Caulker he may know from England duties
Atm Burnley are doing the PR thing of "our best player is happy here".But he has still to sign a new contract isn't he?
Guan 2.0: "I think Burnley are about to realise that all our money isn't reserved for them. They will have to make a final decision soon."
Still think if we sign him, it'll be our last signing. Burnley are playing tough (rightly so) and even though Ings potentially wants the move I think it'll still drag on further.
Even to get him, I'm glad he isn't being a pratt. We've suffered enough ourselves from players whining.
Well that means once we've agreed a fee with Burnley it shouldn't take too long then. Personal negotiations will surely be quicker if the player is keen.
You sweet innocent. We could have a player turn up with his own medical certificate, international clearance, and a packed suitcase and it would still be easier to settle the 100 years war than to actually sign him.
