It is rather odd that Saints have a Burnley lad through and through in Jay Rod as our striker, but Burnley have 3 local lads, each of have had periods in our Academy, who support Saints in Vokes, Ings and now Jutkiewicz. Burnley journalist says we haven't even bid for Danny.
I would've thought that Burnley would take the attitude that even if Ings doesn't want to sign a new deal he would be very important to any survival chance they have and staying in the PL for another season is worth far more to the club than say £10m that they may get for him, so if I were them I would be rejecting any bids and letting him go for free next year or if he doesn't have a great season he may even sign a new deal. Not saying I want this to happen ofc, would just find it strange from a Burnley perspective if we managed to get Ings for £10m or less
Guan put a hint with a photo of a red panda either laughing or something similar. Someone picked up on Guan's hint. He posted a 2nd photo of a red panda and when you get the URL and what not, it says "smiling red panda". So he's using it in place of his token standard internet smiley face. So he's giving us the nod about Danny Ings.
Indeed you did. Must still be a few days away at least though as he is away at pre-season with Burnley, I'll be pretty happy if we get Danny on board.
You aren't alone there and the explanations haven't helped so far either. Maybe Guan 2 did post it but I still don't understand why. I'm prepared to be considered a bit dim or slow here but someone please elaborate!
I don't think there's anything to read into really. He normally just posts smiley faces, maybe this time he was bored and decided to post a cute animal smiling instead.
I still think we'd need another striker if we bring in Ings. Pelle, Ings, Gallagher and Jay Rod, when he's back, doesn't seem like the strongest PL strike force.
