North Ferriby are currently smashing Selby 7-0.

Adam Bolder has scored a hat trick.

The Development Squad got their pre-season underway with a 5-0 win against Winterton Rangers on Monday night.

Goals from Aimson, Margetts (2), Jahraldo-Martin and McCawl.

Nothing in the Hull Daily Mail about this game even taking place. Or North Ferriby's game tonight.

Strange that the HDM haven't picked up on them.

Too focused on telling us Dawson is stalling by the looks of things.

I know Townsend is in Portugal training with the first team, as is Oxley, but as far as I know they're the only ones from the reserves that have travelled and are probably the only two reserves that are close to breaking into the first team this season, if only because their isn't as much competition for their positions (I know Oxley has 3 in front of him, but I really don't think we'll see that much of Harper and with potentially 4 competitions to be in this season, it's likely he'll pop up at some point).

The rest of the squad aren't anywhere near good enough for the first team, not yet anyway.

Margetts always seems to be scoring goals in development games. Has anyone gone and seen him play?

Yeah he's pretty good, he'll be a football league player in the future no doubt. He had a good loan spell at Gainsborough last season (possibly scoring against Ferriby, could be wrong) and he did very, very well. I think the staff are fans, but I don't think he's ready for first team football yet.

Why would he? Deano was 23 when he signed professional terms and he went on to have a great career.

I found this video of Gainsborough Trinity goals of the season. He has goals at 2:41, 3:00, 3:40, and 4:05.

That one at 3.40 is a peach, that's great technique to do that at any level.

EDIT: The one after that was even better, I didn't realise he did so well, although the defending for one of the goals (vs Harrogate) was utter tripe.

To be fair to Cullen, he made the right choice in joining Luton, they were always gonna get promoted from that league at some point in the near future and he's now at a Football League club, I think he'll do alright there. He was just too raw when he was thrust into our PL team the first time round.
