No, I'm not quite sure where all this criticism is coming from. Whatever the problems at Blackpool are - either the players weren't good enough, they didn't want to be there, or they couldn't be afforded - the chairman has decided they need a rebuild from scratch. Start criticising him if he still has 8 players when the first game comes around.

I think you're missing my point completely. I wasn't criticising the chairman for having 8 players, I was criticising him for making out that this was a good thing when it really isn't. Trying desperately to polish up a bad situation when their first game is in 25 days.

No I'm not, I addressed your point. He explained pretty clearly that the "good thing", in his eyes, is that the new manager can build his own squad and doesn't have to get stuck with a crap one.

The club is a mess so he's talking out his ass. Less than a month to go until the league kicks off and they have 8 registered players. I don't know why he can't just admit that lol

How about you wait until the league kicks off then? There's no reason they couldn't sign 15 players in that time.

Bringing in 15 players less than a month before the league starts is hardly a positive. It's madness tbh

Joe I think you may be missing the point a tad. They have earned millions of pounds from their premier league season + parachute payments + selling of players e.g. Charlie Adam. In that time virtually zip has been reinvested into the club. It has essentially been a flurry of free transfers since relegation. The chairman has let the team disintegrate over this time and it is no surprise this is the end package. I think it is very optimistic to think they will sign 15 players and if they do I can almost guarantee they won't have a very high collective transfer fee. It is genuinely dark times for Blackpool fans.

8 professional players, probably a fair few academy players training with the first team like Saints
