This is a conundrum to the Irish. My son in law is Scottish but he wants unity with GB. As an Irishman I can't understand this. WTF.

Your son-in-law is a ****in numpty. He wishes to be forever subservient to Westminster governance because he doesn't have the balls to see it any other way.

Voting No = would rather be ruled by a Government in London that most Scots didn't vote for than stand on your own two feet.

This applies to many other areas of the UK. Even where I live we didn't vote for the current government.

Comparisons with Ireland are entirely incompatible.

We entered into a Union where we were equal partners. Ireland was colonised as the populace were religiously conservative and as a result, poorly educated.

I didn't vote for my local councillor, should I just declare independence from the rest of Glasgow and set up my own City? Barrylands? Barmullochrie?

Most Scots didn't vote for Labour in the last election and most Scots didn't vote for the SNP in the last elections for the Scottish parliament, just like most Britons didn't vote Tory in the last election.

Indeed, in the last GE, the Lib Dems, Tories and SNP all received a similar % of actual votes in Scotland, though the Lib Dems walked away with 10 MP's and the Tories got 1.

I have voted to declare independence from the rest of the human race.

I am now King from this tree to that lamppost over there. I have also voted to become a tax haven, so come on over if you're ****ing minted. The rest of you can **** off.
