Thought provoking. Would we have to send young men back there again? http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/201...ireland_n_5545319.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular
Oh really, why's that then? The majority want to be part of the UK. Do you only want democracy on your term? Have you ever been there? I have, more times than I'd have wanted to.
My best mate lost his dad to the IRA as a serving soldier in Enniskillen 1984. He'd been at a fishing competition and when he returned to his car, little did he know that a bomb had been placed under it and that was that. I've heard some horrendous stories about NI at a victim and support group meeting, I take my hat off to you and Comm for serving over there.
Yes and what majority are you talking about? The majority of the whole of the island or the part that we the British planted there?
Do you really think that the ROI wants anything to do with northern ireland, they wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, also that would make the protestant a minority which in turn would start more violence
Listen chum, I know it was gerrymandered against the catholics, I might come over as a bit of an arsehole at times but I'm not ****ing stupid. You try walking into a pub in the Creggan or Bogside in Londonderry & see how you get on. Those folk, the majority I speak of & their descendants have lived there for hundreds of years. Would you deny British immigrants the right to vote? And as someone else has said, the ROI want's **** all to with the north anyhow. If they ever do unite Ireland, the loyalists would burn it to the ground & see it as Britain selling them out.
Look mate. I've got an Irish background. In fact my great granddad died after coming home from the first world war from the effects of gas poisoning. Leaving 4 kids under 6. He was born in Ireland and married a protestant from Scotland. My catholic dad married a protestant, and I (a protestant) married a Polish catholic. We've all lived along for decades in the UK aways from the Bigotry that exists from a few people in the North. Ireland should be given the vote (like Scotland) but as a whole Island and not just part. I don't give a stuff about the bigots (it's that word) that have created havoc in the UK (and Ireland) for the past 40 years. In fact, the instigators of most of the early trouble were the unionists and not the republicans. If you look at the small population of the protestant in the Republic you'll find that they live peacefully and happily next to the Catholic neighbors. (I work with an Republic Protestant) I don't support either side and certainly don't support either. But, for a lasting peace there is only 1 solution.
Neither do I support either side but what you're suggesting is akin to saying that England & Wales should have a vote on Scottish independence. You forget that the ROI is just another foreign nation.
**** knows mate, can't be arsed to check it, so you have a 1 in 3 chance.. Now what about the septics flag?
****ing septics, always trying to be devious. Even trying to pass Jozy ****ing Altidore of, as a soccer player..(soccer, i watched green streets again)
You know I love Jozy. Despite all the crap that involves taking, I stand by my man. ****ing Green Streets, can't wrap my arms around a Hobbitt being a footy thug. Silly. BTW, think Red is the second most common color in flag. You came in second, mate.
