Sunderland have taken former Crewe striker Max Clayton on trial with a view to signing him. Compensation will be needed, which is expected to be around £1m. Eliaquim Mangala is having a medical at Manchester City ahead of a proposed move.
Liverpool, now with a bit extra cash, have targeted Jay Rodriguez. They're liking those Saints players, aren't they? First Lambert, then Lallana, now linked with Lovren and Jay Rod...
Toni Kroos is close to a move to Real Madrid for £20m. To put that into perspective: Adam Lallana £25m, Luke Shaw £31m, Stewart Downing £20m, Andy Carroll £35m. Also, Hulk £38m, Cavani £55m, David Luiz £50m, Fernando Torres £50m
daily mail have said that after winning the world cup Kroos announced that he's going to RM for £20m
Good signing for them. I was unsure after only seeing him play a handful of games but he's been a solid player at the world cup.
Does he play often? I always thought he was rotated quite a bit. Plus he's in his last year and the European champions are interested. It's hard for him to say no.
Cant believe Palace are possibly going to sign Sigurdsson from Spurs for £8m... Excellent signing for them if it comes off.
Liverpool have completed the signing of Lazar Markovic it seems, official announcement to be made later today or tomorrow. please log in to view this image
Yes. But Real Madrid have to sell Sami Khedira first. Looks like Chelsea are going to take him now as Arsenal faff about. Excellant news. Bye bye Palace. Looks like even Lesta have learned the lessons of the past. ++++ Arsenal to step up their interest in Southampton player Calumn Chambers.
Sky Sources: Southampton offer Jay Rodriguez a new five-year contract. More on #SSN I don't see why he would, I think this one will drag on. He'll wait to see if he gets a decent offer or if Southampton sign any more good players.
If that's true, it doesn't fit with our recent transfer policy. We sign players who want to come and have a point to prove.
if this is the case, lets move we've been caught out in the passed chasing target's that in the end had no intension of coming to us.
I suspect that both are for the same reasons. Spurs/Levy wont pay up the remaining time on their contracts and who can blame them. It is Spurs who want them out afterall. Loyalty works both ways.
