You beat me to the punch, FFC Madness. That's what I get for taking a phone call from my mother in the middle of posting exciting transfer news.

Look forward to seeing how he develops, but honestly this is not the most exciting signing. He's young and inexperienced but with potential displayed at a lower level - more a replacement for Trotta than the experienced head we need up front.

But he's cheap and keen so I'm certainly not complaining!

He was Australian young player of the year and by all accounts a hard worker. I think it's a signing with good potential.

Giving him a 3 year contract, the Club obviously believes he has potential. Pity he'll miss the pre-season start because of his World Cup "time off" but presumably that has been factored in.

Watching him last night it's difficult to judge but one thing was clear - he won't do anything if he doesn't get any decent service. Let's hope the Club now push on and get the midfield (or lack of it) sorted.

He looks pacey and his work rate is top notch. As C58 says, needs some service. But that would have been the case with or without him.
G'day Adam and welcome to Fulham.

Hi guys, Aussie football fan here and Villa supporter..
.I'll wait till the obscenities stop...
    .
    .
I've watched the development of Adam in the last couple of seasons of the A League, first with Perth where he was under-utilised, then with Newcastle where he developed into a genuine goal poacher and scorer. He makes good runs into dangerous areas, has enough pace to worry defenders, and if he gets a decent opportunity on goal he will more often than not bury it. Adam played at Newcastle who were just an average, middle of the table club last season but still managed to win the golden boot for the A League, this wasn't a fluke. Heskey was at Newcastle at the same time and while he had injury issues as well I can tell you who I was more concerned about when Newcastle played my team Brisbane Roar.....and it wasn't Emile Heskey. I know Heskey has copped plenty of flack over the years but he was still a premier league striker and given the choice of the two to come to Brisbane I can tell you 8 or 9 out of 10 would take Taggart. Good young player who is very hungry to learn and improve as he did rapidly last year, give him service in front of goal and he'll score them for you, no risk.

All the best for the season, hope to see you back in the Prem next year, have always had a soft spot for FFC with the Aussie connections over the years.

    Cheers

Cheers AV. Adam's going have to fight hard to get a first team spot but from what you say that's his style, so good to hear.

    All the best to you.

I read he came on second half against Crawley in a friendly and went ok after some early nerves, what were people's thoughts? Good workrate and make intelligent runs? That's typically his go.
