Boardwalk Empire, Sept 7......... FINAL SEASON!!!!!! Must be taking the ****ing piss this. Great show, great ****ing show with so much room to roam with and so many stories. ****ing HBO twats.
How many seasons is there Bluff? Is it 5 - like typical HBO. Personally I thought if they changed season 5 of The Wire that had a good 2 seasons left to run.
I know, I was bummed too, when I heard this. Enoch Johnson (his real name was Johnson, not sure why they changed it to Thompson for the show), was such an interesting character, and it was such an interesting period for organised crime, with so many of the big names rising to power. Charles "Lucky" Luciano, Myer Lansky, Arnold Rothstein, Al Capone, Bugsy Seigel....so many characters they could go with. Hell even if Buscemi quits I would be happy with a show following Lucky in New York and Capone in Chicago. Luciano was an amazing gangster, pretty much invented the mafia. And Stephen Grahams portrayal of Capone has been excellent, he should have gotten an Emmy. **** Atlantic City and give us a show following these guys.
Ya think it is about 5 but you got True Blood that went 7 ( last season is on now) and Game of Thrones will go for some time. Really gutted, was waiting for the whole Al Capone thing to get massive but now that looks unlikely!!!
Watching Ep 2 of The Honourable Woman, really good political drama with Maggie Gylenhall. It's on BBC 2 on Thursdays, imagine Homeland but good.
lol, Homeland never grabbed me. Somebody told me it got stupid the more it went on. Glad I never started watching. Got Honourable Woman recorded so far, good to hear that its good
Two cracking films clashing on the box last night. Master and Commander and Total Recall (the ****ing original)
Master and Commander was a good film, which I enjoyed. However, I was struck with the similarities with its plot and Darwin's voyage of The Beagle. Anyone else think that? Total Recall (original) is boss! Remake is very boring. Colin Farrell needs a good script to look good, unlike Arnie. Charisma! "Screw you, Benny!!!!!!!!!" "you're a psychopathic bitch." Classic Arnie.
