A commonly misunderstood argument. Not talking about a weekly schedule here, over a long period of time the body loses its efficiency and needs a rest - playing twice a week is no problem (I do too at 42 years old) but after a few months you need to recharge and let the body heal its minor injuries/soft tissue damage

Ok. If it's foreign players or winter breaks how come France have only ever won once, Spain once, Netherlands never, Spain went out before us, Italy in the same round?? RVP played well with 3 games to extra time. Suarez played well despite an equally long season and a late injury.

We also have some of the world's best players and also historically very good teams - the 2006 squad especially.

What we lack is the ability to get them to play well as a team, and play with passion and commitment is the games the expect to win.
