David Connolly not named in the squad, and both Tom Craddock and Wes Fogden out injured. Sounds like a good start to his PFC career from Craig Westcarr
was a good run out for the squad with the exception of wes fogden who is injured........they look sharp, hungry and dare I say it......like a squad that is comfortable on the ball and can play.......
Felt a bit sorry for H&W though, 3 of their signings off injured. Hopefully none of them are serious. Heard from someone else that big Pat was 1st class in the first half.
Rumour is that Fogden is out for the season with badly damaged cruciate ligament. If true that's a great shame as I was impressed by him last season and he was a key part of AA's successful formula.
I heard on Pompey Player that Wes Fogden hurt his knee in training, no-one was near him when he went down. We had so many injuries to players last year, just goes to show why the new training ground is so essential.
There does appear to be a great deal of optimism about, in respect of the coming season. We certainly don't want another “false dawn” like last year. Under Andy Awford, I very much doubt that will be the case this year All being well, happy times ahead.
