Why not? Sturridge will return to his prior ****e form that he displays after he's been somewhere for a while. Gerrard is too old. Henderson is a headless chicken. Johnson has always been ****. Sterling is nowhere near good enough yet and overhyped. I predict 8th in the League after all they won't put Gerrard out to pasture and he will only get worse and they are buying the 8th best players in the Prem
Transfermarkt usually a good source for this.... http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/southampton-fc/transfers/verein/180?saison_id=2014&pos=&detailpos= £65.12m In & £11.44m Out so far according to them.
If Man U buy the right players and with no European footie to worry about they might be worth a punt at 5/1.
I do agree regards your points ritchie but they've got way too much to do to challenge this season imho. City/Chelsea will be top 2 and whoever finishes 3rd will be 6+ points back from 2nd. Really good chance 15/16 season if they invest wisely now though.
I'm saying that England form doesn't equate to club form. Johnson is **** whoever he plays for so agree with you on him. Gerrard will be used less, Rodgers has admitted as much, but could still make an impact like SRL (who I would certainly not call **** even though he is getting on). The others shouldn't be written off in my view. As the Liverpool fan said earlier they play differently to England and as I mentioned before they are a team, not just a collection of players like England. As for the 8th best argument, it's a good joke but they are buying some of our best players, and of the three, I only expect Lovren to be in the first XI. I'm not trying to defend Liverpool here. On an emotional level, I would find it cathartic if they failed, and I'm not ashamed to say i enjoyed United's failure last year. But objectively, they have a decent and effective team with some quality players, including the England ones (not Johnson). Honestly, I'm not sure they will finish in the top 4 as there are 4 other top teams, but it's hard to see them outside top 5.
I'll be surprised if Rickie can get four league goals for them, this coming season. We should have a poll!
If you didn't come on this site to WUM why are you disliking everyone that disagrees with you? You know as much as we do about how much money changed hands so that was a pretty stupid question. Nobody on this site are happy with you, your team has stolen one of our players so don't expect anything other than negative responses, best if you kept away as you are not welcome.
Agree with this. It's not for nothing that they led for most of last season. A couple more class players, bit more strength in depth, more luck with injuries, and they could well be there.
I don't buy into their injury issue last season. Every team gets injuries and they had quite a few in the midfield, the area where they have a lot of depth. If they had the injuries up front or in defence there would have been a bigger issue.
They missed Walcott's pace when he got injured. And they really missed Ramsey too, he was in cracking form before he got injured.
I suppose. But when you have a midfield of ozil, ox, cazorla, arteta, flamini wilshere, Ramsey, Walcott, podolski, gnabry. You can get away with a couple of injuries. I feel arsenal have the greatest depth in midfield in the PL.
