Feel sorry for LFC, he bettrayed them for a bigger better club like we all knew he would, without ever proving himself in big games or CL. LFC: a stepping stone
Dignity, buying a player with his history? From your comments over the last few months any team buying him would surely have no dignity? Imo Suarez will continue to be Suarez and I'm sure he'll f** up eventually, I'm just glad it wont be in a Liverpool shirt. The bigger than the club thing your spouting at the moment is nonsense. He was refused a transfer when he stamped his feet and at one point was made to train with the reserves.
The club were so in awe of him they backed him through racism, cheating, violence and even after he demanded to go to Arsenal, the fans and club begged him to sign an improved contract. .
How many clubs arn't stepping stones? Eventually the big names all want to go to to either Madrid or Barca
I posted this in 26th June Maybe Suarez was more subtle than we thought Just an opinion, but maybe Suarez planned the bite in order to profit from the outcome. and before you say that's crazy, consider the following. 1. By making the 3rd offence of biting, in full view of the worlds cameras, he achieves world publicity, which forces FIFA to ban him. In reality, that ban is only going to include world cup matches, which he knows Uruguay are very unlikely to win it. 2. His 2 goals proved he is a top class player, so clubs with no principals would be more than willing to have him as a player 3. Despite Liverpool defending him over the last biting ban, they also made it clear to him that any future actions that bring Liverpool into disrepute would not be tolerated. 4. He is fully aware that Barca and Real Madrid are both interested in signing him, but the price Liverpool require is excessive, but the publicity from the bite episode will devalue that figure. So with a reduced figure, either of the Spanish sides would have no problem in signing him, despite his reputation. 5. His father has already stated his desire to play in Spain, and all the publicity about the biting gives clever little Luis another excuse to blame the media in wanting to move away from the premier league. 6. Liverpool are in a dilemma. If they keep him, they run the risk of being hounded by the English press, but if the sell him, the fans won't forgive them So there we go, maybe the obnoxious little rat planned the bite anyway. After all, he has plenty to gain from it OK, I got the length of ban wrong, but you can bet your life Barca will appeal, and seeing he no longer plays for an English team, whats the betting FIFA will back down?
For me, Utd, Bayern, Real and Barca are all on the same level. Liverpool will be there once they build their new stadium and get that first PL title.
Beckham, Horses Head and Ronaldo used yoonited as a stepping stone to get to Real very few if any make the reverse. Utd aren't on their level outside of their respective leagues, in terms of support yoonited are on par with them but in terms of success yoonited's has been almost all domestic compared to Real.
Dont forget Heinze to lol kidding. We wanted rid of Beckham and RVN while Ronaldo is a boyhood Real Madrid fan.
Beckham was literally kicked out By that method though, do we consider Arsenal the biggest of the lot given Ozil and Sanchez have moved from Real and Barca to them? I would argue that on a global scale, United are the bigger club with the bigger brand and following etc. Man United have also been bled dry by the Yanks the past 10 years and have had no real investment until the past 12 months whereas Barca and Real have received handouts from the Spanish government etc.
