He does. Pogba would signal the end for Mikel and/or Ramires in my opinion. I also don't think Oscar/Schurrle/Salah would suffer either.
This is true. I am not in favour of losing Ramires (despite not being a footballer in any sense his energy makes him a somewhat unique player especially in the Premier League). But Mikel played something like 19 times last season. MVG sounds like a more logical relacement for him. That said, we have a tough fixture list next year and having a lot of hungry players will serve us well.
Also worth considering, Tiago is a free agent tomorrow...we may get a few answers from that situation.
Schurrle certainly got one for Germany last night !! And what I saw of Mikel he had a pretty good game as well. An embarassment of riches it seems. And I agree, all of them will score, especially if someone like Pogba is pulling the strings. Oscar seems a bit below par so far in Brazil, do you agree?
I think the whole Brazil side looks below par. Have basically just done enough in each game to go through, can't see them winning it. Oscar was the stand out player in their first game but has progressively got quieter.
http://www.givemesport.com/480584-chelsea-will-win-the-league-if-they-beat-united-to-60m-pogba More Pogba talk. Again, source is debatable but it seems to be heating up a little. Im personally a little puzzled by this move, especially at that price. Pogba is an awesome player but do we NEED him, and is it wise to spend £60m on him? with FFP and whatnot. I know we are okay and are actually in profit in terms of sales and purchases so far this summer (thanks PSG! ) but still.....is it the wisest move?
As you say, a debatable source. The only thing I've seen of any weight is his agent who said he'll be at Juve next year. Therefore I will believe that to be the case unless there is a definite bit of news to the contrary.
Numerous pics of him spotted in chelsea.. Strange place to be on a holiday after the world cup? Imagine a midfield 3 of Pogba, fabregas and matic
I thin as a first team signing he would be amazing, but would cause a lot of problems in terms of squad management. reluctant no from me..
Not if we got rid of Mikel and Rami! Rumours seem to be gaining momentum but as usual, I won't start to believe unless a bid is officially made.
Matic fabregas and pogba is a brilliant 3, but it pushes out oscar. Where can he play with those 3? Oscar needs to take on more responsibility rather than less to improve, and i doubt by signing pogba that will happen. He'll be shunted to the wing, which limits one of schurrle and willians options too, meaning eventually another great youngster will be off, never mind the fact that by getting rid of ramieres and mikel we remove out best utility player, but also one of the most dependable DMs in the world (meaning no cover). like i said, its great for the first team, but look deeper than that andd it just messes everything up. To be fair that makes it sound like a typical CFC signing though
Possibly but then that's just working on the basis of Matic, Fabregas and Pogba playing every game which they wouldn't. There would be plenty of rotation and you could have Oscar at 10, Fabregas in the middle with someone else, or Oscar wide/on the bench with fab at 10. Ultimately bringing in Pogba is no different to where the squad is now IF say Ramires was sold. As Drogs says though, I believe it when I see it. Most credible source so far is his agent saying he's staying.
Juve manager has quit and between the lines could be because they are about to sell players or Juve not prepared to spend. "I have matured with time and my feelings led me to make this choice. It may be more difficult to keep winning with Juventus. Not much to hang our hats on re Pogba but it's quiet at the mo!!
I reckon it'll be something to do with Vidal. Although it's puzzling that he'd want to drop out of the CL for even one season at the peak of his career.
Could be the money. United seem to really be throwing money at the problem so he'll surely get a massive pay rise. Frankly if C.L is the all important I'd stay clear of England at the moment. So competitive and no guarantees now unlike the top Spanish, French and Germans for instance.
