NICK Proschwitz will spend the next week training with the Hull City development squad after he was left behind from the clubâs training camp in Portugal. The German striker was a notable omission from the travelling party that flew out to the Algarve yesterday for the opening stages of Cityâs pre-season programme. Proschwitz has instead been asked to train with the clubâs under-21s squad at Bishop Burton as he faces up to an increasingly bleak future at the KC Stadium. Although the 27-year-old still has another 12 months to run on his contract, the Tigersâ hierarchy have made it clear he is free to find himself another club this summer. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...ory-21450337-detail/story.html?#ixzz3796MSqaQ I suspect we might piss him off for a while, then offer him a severance package.
That generally seems the best way to piss off a player enough to make them leave. Sounds like we're going to make a huge loss on him when FAT, and the wages we'll subsidize, come into it.
With the extra fixtures this year it wouldn't be a disaster if he stuck around, we don't have that many true forwards, it only takes a few injuries and we'd be a little thin on the ground in that department. Having said that with his wages and potential disruption to the squad it would probably best to get rid.
That's pathetic. Whoevers idea it was deserves a slap, and a ****ing hard one. Only ****ers go round treating players like that, the likes of Nigel Pearson etc...
If a players not wanted then no point whatsoever him training with the first team squad. Once that decisions made then its train with the ressies or development squad as the only options to keep their fitness up with a transfer in mind.
He should still train with the first team squad. This is a ****s trick. Steve Bruce the big fat ****.
The player is surely aware that he is on the transfer list and due to be shipped out. He has known this for a long time. Therefore why would he expect the club to spend money taking him to Portugal and so on? He's a footballer, he knows the score, he knows he's not a first team player anymore, and he knows he's out as soon as someone offers to take him. He's a grown-up, he can handle it.
And he should have been in the Germany wc squad.... Sorry i just wanted to play at being Mr Hat for a bit.
Yeah seems harsh, maybe there is a move in the pipeline so SB has said there's no point in coming to Portugal, if there isn't a move in the pipeline then it's out of order......unless it's his punishment for upsetting Danielle Lloyd
I guess if one those free standing footballer 'shapes' that they use for training falls over, they could always send for Prossie to replace it!
NP is not to blame that the club paid £2.6m for his services though and I assume SB arranged the deal and agreed to pay the price. Think it is harsh to banish Nick to train with the kids in all honesty. He has played his last game for us but treat him with a bit of dignity at least.
Why is it harsh? we've got to focus on getting the players were actually going to use ready for another massive season
Barnsley sent him back early because they didn't want him around the first team squad, they weren't happy with his attitude.
