    see i liked neymar

    but these pathetic comments

If it had been another two centimetres I could be in a wheelchair today.
    "I don't hate him. I don't hold a grudge," said Neymar. "But I don't feel anything.
"It's difficult to talk about a move that ended happening in such an important moment of my career.
"I won't say he came to injure me. I don't what was going on in his head but everyone who understands football can see that it wasn't a normal challenge."

i've watched the challenge, hundreds of times in all sorts of angles and speed

zuniga was looking at the ball all the time, he didn't push his knee with any force, it was a run and jump for the ball, unfortunate but no way was it not a normal challenge, it's just pure unluck

The ball was dropping in front of Neymar, exactly how did Zuniga (running at speed from behind) think he was going to challenge fairly for that ball?

He got nowhere near the ball and went straight through him with a knee in Neymar's back. He might be a theatrical diver on previous occasions but you're watching that all wrong, if you think it was anything like a genuine challenge for the ball.

May I ask why you've "watched the challenge, hundreds of times in all sorts of angles and speed"?

    i told you

    i like neymar

but i've watched it hundreds of times, in slow mo replays and all sorts, there was no force of knee into his back, it was a run at speed and a jump at the ball, he didn't force his knee into the back

it was a freak accident, that could have happened 100 times and no injury occured

Well if you think that was a fair challenge and a freak accident, I'd suggest you're getting mixed up between your football analysis and your WWE analysis.

He said he couldnt feel his legs after the challenge. Breaking your back is a scary thing. I saw my dad a few hours after he shattered his spine falling off the roof onto a stone wall. Even the surgery or prospect of surgery on the spine is a scary thing with all that can go wrong. I dont think its pathetic, I think most people would probably have a go at what occurred.

An inch higher and he would have been paralysed.

to me, it's not a deliberate challenge, it's a run and jump at speed, and caused a freak accident

    natural swing of the leg

    It's a clumsy at worse.

You can see Zuniga is looking at the ball.

How often do we see a goalie come out to catch from a corner and he will in most cases lead with a knee - also a keeper can punch a ball and connect with a player fairly too -

it wasn't a deliberate knee in the back. it may have been an intended clattering, but at that speed it's difficult to say. the hand at the top of the back would normally be enough to take most of the sting out of any contact with the knee.

exactly it's a natural reaction of running at speed and jumping for a ball, it was clumsy

but not intentional or a horrific foul, try running after a ball in that scenario, it's a natural reaction, that happens week in week out in matches, and unfortunately for neymar he suffers a truly horrific injury

if neymar hadn't broken his back, there'd of been nothing said about it

It could be considered careless play by Zuniga, and if that had been against a player from Japan it would be all forgotten about. But "star" player for "best team in the world", it is going to get a lot more attention.

And before anyone has a go at me for not being caring towards the poor little love, I nearly bled to death in a car accident.

It looked like a bad challenge at the time, but to be fair, it followed and was probably drawn by a long string of similar attacks by Brazil that could have resulted in injuries to varying extents. It was just bad luck that Neymar got a really bad injury.

There is no doubt that it was a dreadful challenge and the offender should have walked imo. But what Neymar forgot to mention is that this game produced the most fouls in any game so far in this competition. 2/3rds of those fouls were committed by Brazil who had made their intentions quite clear within the first 10 minutes. A totally inept referee allowed cart blanche for all players to kick shyte out of each other and mayhem ensued. I think that by the time Neymars incident had happened Colombia had had enough. I don't go along with extracting revenge but I can fully understand why the Colombian player did it although it was wrong to. He had seen his star player kicked to death all through the game with a referee so incapable of taking the correct action to put an end to it, he decided he would take his own action. Brazil got their come uppance in the semi and I was delighted.
