The point about the Rhys Jones murder was that evidence from phone records, something many want to remain "private" was crucial in destroying the case presented by his murderers. Such "privacy infringing" information showed the murderers were present at the scene of the murder; given their family members gave false alibis, preverted the course of justice such "privacy concerns" could well have prevented a conviction, or made it far more difficult. Tin foil hat wearers seem to believe people are magically reading every bit of dross posted on social media; simple thought shows that's garbage, because there's zero to be gained from irrelevant rubbish like Slapper X on twitter stating she's dolling up to bag a footballer... People can always decide what makes more sense. I'm struggling to think of a single scenario where "shape shifting lizards" makes the most sense. The point being, most conspiracy theorists peddle *elements* of truth. Mixed in is supposition with no supporting evidence that can be critically analysed; hence applying a far dfferent standard to their own claims.

Touchy subject. However it has always been there, and since the emergence of the internet communication is cheap, however it is not secure and is open to all and sundry to hack. Get rid of the internet and the problem is solved, this is never going to be done, therefore regulation of the internet is a must, however that would need the permission of Microsoft and Apple, which will imo never happen because the Americans have everything where they want it. I work with double encryption on my security systems, but that can be hacked, the same as your bank accounts. Terrorists etc are on a daily basis trying to hack accounts, and are successful. Google 'Mind reader in Brussels' and watch its about 2.30 minutes long. Scary stuff. I cannot tell you where i have worked in the past as this site will probably be monitored, but i have worked in national security, not a pleasant job but necessary. Dont shoot the messenger. Every individual case is different Aber, yes things have changed to affect my life. I recognise that the current govt have imo put difficult measures in place that have resulted in us having the fastest growing economy in Europe. They've been slated for the period we toughed out to get there but it's worked IMO. That effects anyone who has a job or business. If you're on benefits you need the people paying tax to pay your benefits. Footballers take a lot of stick for what they 'earn' whilst ignoring the fact pretty much half of it goes straight into HMRC's coffers. The reptile brain issue is another that we are sooooooo far apart we just need to park and agree to disagree. Those still reading can make their own minds up as I think that's an idea that will polarise the opinions of most people. Tell the families of the victims of 9/11 that terror plots are invented to increase fear of the bogey man.
