    Good Morning Everyone,

Days after losing McCormack to Fulham, could we be about to lose Smithy to Millwall?

It was revealed last night that Millwall have already had an offer rejected for our 6'-6 forward.

The Yorkshire Evening Post are quoted as saying that Smithy is a priority target for the Wall.

Even if Wall match our valuation, would Cellino sell him?

    I'm thinking, he's worth 2m, thoughts?

If offered that, would you sell him?

Doncaster Rovers are giving a trial to former Leeds United and Athletico Madrid youngster Elliott Kebbie.

Kebbie is a free agent after being released by Premier League side Hull City at the end of the season after he joined the tigers on a short-term deal in January. The 19-year-old was tipped for bright future during his time at Leeds before he turned down a scholarship with the club to join Spanish side Athletico Madrid in 2011 after his family moved to Spain.

Maybe Kebie should have stayed in Leeds!!!

We are close to finalising a deal for Jonathan Rossini who plays currently for Italian club Sassuolo. The 25 yo defender has previously played for Sampdoria and Udinese and has made a single international appearance for Switzerland against a Uruguay time in a friendly.

As far as Kebbie's concerned I don't blame him for turning down a scholarship at TA, as the place was going backwards. Look at the experience young Swann had as he left to join Man City to further his career due to TA losing its top 2 coaches who went to Man City. Swan's dad played for the club and even he accepted that we were **** as an academy compared to what we were. Lets see if Swan is any good and if so we'll sign a great prospect, or watch yet another starlet not live up to expectations. Kebbie has gone backwards and if Hull have released him I don't see him being good enough for us now.

Smith can go as long as we get a good lump of cash as we got him on a free, and if the wall see him as being a better prospect than Morison, we need to offload him as well ffs. Another couple of million coming in could see us taking 2 quality strikers in, because I don't see Hunt recovering form and young Dom is just not good enough.

The funniest thing I've seen on here for a while was a post last night quoting Hageland who has just left Fulham: he slagged of Felix Magat as being a **** manager who got the club relegated <laugh> he also said the club will get worse under him and have no chance of promotion. Well done Ross you go down there for a 4-year big wage contract, not for football

Morning Doc, looking at the players we have lost over the years, why would the club not have concentrated on the new talent coming through.

Didn't Jeoleon Lescott start at Leeds too?

Difficult guy to put a price on smith. He's a bit of a one off for a striker in terms of his size/physique. Only one way to play with him in your team but if you play that way or want an option to... and given his goals/time on pitch last year wasn't bad... then to the right club he has to be worth a few bob.

Surprised we'd want rid, as that leaves us currently without any goals at the club, its possible though that if we're looking to play it on the ground he's considered surplus?

Good morrow from a very sunny Bardsey
Why sell Smith for £2m when he could be worth much more to us .Hes a handful make no doubt about that especially at set pieces and the goal he scored against Derby showed how much he has improved on his ground work sell Morrison and Hunt and Poleon but not MATT
Reported we are getting a swiss defender well we cant get any worse than what weve got at the moment Pearce excepted
I have written To MC congratulating on his dealings with Rossand teling about my idea of Chris Burke taking his roleIknow you are going to say well hes just a winger I think he would be even more effective feeding off Smith and he could also give Matt some quality crosses
The other players I mentioned were Guedetti of City Jamie Murphy Blades for his pace and young Dale Jennings yes I know I wanted him last season but I still think he will come good and Agard

I'd be more gutted losing Smith than losing Rosco. The financial side of Ross leaving softened that blow! I think Smith had a fantastic return for goals/assists in his first season and will get better. Keep him please MC!

Kebbie didnt really have a choice but leave as his parents moved to Spain!

Morning all, any idea if there will be audio of our friendly tonight?

Morning all. Having lost but if he's going to progress, Ross, losing Smith would be a disaster. Smith has spent a good season finding out what its like to play for a big club. He took a while to get going, he has to stay at Leeds. Why would he want to drop down and be permanently in a relegation dog fight with such a small club.

Not a big deal if Smith goes imo, he is decent in the air but clumsy with it at his feet, technically poor imo. If we are going to play a passing style he is replaceable.

If he stays at Leeds he will only be a sub as hoof ball is a thing of the past for us.

He is a typical Millwall player, lump it up and see what happens. <laugh>

Mike, that Guedetti is a fantastic player and I checked him out on YouTube last season, when trying to see how all our kids were getting on.

How realistic are we going to have to be guys, as we already have a big squad unless we're offloading more. This week alone it looks like 10 sqaud additions if you include the 7 kids given pro contracts. How many have we offloaded so far and how many of these kids have a realistic chance of playing first team football this season. They were only given 12-month deals to prove themselves, and when you factor in Byram, Poleon, Dawson, Mowatt, Murphy, Wootton, there's half the first team there potentially, plus the 3 new signings, maybe George Swann and a couple more signings still to come. I can't see MC wanting a big squad earning wages and not playing, so Smith, Hunt and Pearce etc, etc, etc. Got to get rid of the crap quickly

    morning all

Of course Smith is going to get sold. He's not an Italian or played in the Italian league. I expect a squad full of Foreign players by this time next year.

Elland, Lescot started off at Wolves not with us

TBH could't really care about Kebbie but good luck to him at Donny.

Not in the slightest bit worried about losing Smith. He's ok, but nothing special

No panic mighty, well just replace him with another Italian international. As wc has proven, Italian soccer, whilst clearly not great, is still well ahead of the English game

I said it in another thread, Smith I don't think is good enough to rely on every week. Not really a guaranteed starter for us but would still be nice to keep him

Still think we should hold on to him. If we're getting more talented players and we're moving away from hoofball, players like Smith still have a role to play. Get a player to tak a corner or get to the byline & put in a cross, you still need someone either to knock in the goal or win the header & for someone else to knock in.
