I agree it is openly disrespectful as if he wants to tell LFC he'll sign he can do so without doing that.

I also agree that players being managed on social media is the way to go. whats the objective? Simple raise the players profile. nothing else, its not about being one with fans as they'd stick to that.

No its a case that you send your tweet to some PR and then they think hmmm is that really wise then tweet it on sanitised.

All gone very quiet last day or two. Liverpool lost interest or Lovren being reprimanded by saints. Tbh 25m is way too much. He is prone to the odd bad game, you can get away with that at saints. It never affected our position so no harm done. 3 points for Liverpool could be the difference between 1st and second or 4th and 5th.

 

I think thats why its gone quiet, £25m would be ridiculous, that is Hummels territory and I know who I would rather have.

 

After all the drama we have nothing to lose by saying to Southampton final Lovren offer £15m, take it or leave it. It will be interesting to see how they deal with him seeing as the fans have gone into complete #meltdown over him

Journalist speculation... I'm sure we were going to be selling Lucas this summer anyway- and his leaving has nothing to do with Lovren arriving. He's been past his best- and now with Can and Lallana arriving for the midfield- he's gone further down the pecking order.


We've already bid too high. We should turn our attention elsewhere... if saints don't want to sell him for a reasonable price, we should look for an alternative- you can get better at the prices they're demanding.

 

As a saints fan I want us to get the absolute premium price for a player that doesn't want to be here and if Liverpool are silly enough to pay it then so be it. But I would look elsewhere. He could do the same in a couple of years to you guys. His reputation is shot now

 

That makes the combined reputations of all players Southampton have bought shot then.

You can't seriously single out one player just because he wants to leave the club you support.

I think all clubs do that or at least, they should. Southampton are not being questioned here, Liverpool are.
