I think Chile were organised but over-rated after winning the hearts of football hipsters. Colombia were good against some poor sides but second best against Brazil (who as we know aren't great). They only beat Chile on pens anyway.

Football hipsters say Brazil will win and are out of this world etc etc at the start of every World Cup.

People who want England to lose, support Germany as their 2nd team and go on about Costa Rica and Chile being the best teams in this World Cup.

Brazil were woeful. The defence made England's look adequate. They just rolled over after goal no.2 and the germans had it all so easy. Matched gift wrapped with <rose><rose><rose>

What else can be said. ????

Nobody wants England to lose but we are now so bad that many just accept the fact that England will lose.

You obviously didn't see many threads about group D then.

Not only did people like Jenks Shuffle openly hope we'd lose, they also openly wanted the other teams to collect points in a way to ensure our elimination.

And I'm not even joking, they seriously were.

    Baffling.

Well, considering the fact they wanted us to be eliminated ASAP and were joyous when we lost and elimination was confirmed, I would say that no, they're not England fans.

The Username Allan McGregor came on here after Uruguay beat England solely to glory in England losing.

Did a close family member die or something?

You never saw many black brazilian faces in the stadiums.

Just seen on SSN that when Germany returned to their base today they were cheered and applauded by the locals.

    Which was nice of them.

Not right but still very nice.

It appeared that they were too preoccupied with the World Cup to carry on setting fire to one another and such like.

After last night I'd expect business to return to normal in Brazil.

    1. Nobody on here other than those who aren't English want England to lose. But people are getting sick of them, which is why most are consistently negative.

    2. People don't hate Germany as much as you want them to. You need to accept that.

    3. Costa Rica and Chile have been amongst the better performing teams in this WC. You do know that Costa Rica have gone out unbeaten, don't you?

They can burn down a few of these expensive stadiums. They won't actually be needed now.
