    Good Morning Everyone,

Eleven million reasons why Leeds Utd made the right decision when appointing Massimo Cellino as its new new owner!!!

Who would have thought it? Certainly not Cardiff!!!

It is normal in a situation like this, there are two sides to every story. Cellino spoke to the YEP, and had this to say :-

"I like to be in control of situations but it felt like he wasn't my player. I was disrespected. He was aggressive with me.

"He didn't turn up for the tour and all the time he wanted to go from here. It wasn't in my mind to sell McCormack, it wasn't my plan, but I had no choice.

"He's a good player, and I'm not going to pretend that he isn't, but he didn't respect me and it wasn't possible to keep him."

It will be interesting to see whether Cellino will splash the cash on a big name, or carefully invest in the future?

The Cherry on top will be when we make a few more signings and finally get rid of the dead wood!!!

We won't have to wait for long. Jonathan Rossino is due to sign for us today. The 25 year old 6-1 Swiss centre back applies his trade with Sassuolo, though has been on loan at Parma. He has represented his country at u17/19/21 level.

Would anyone feel less attachment to the club if we signed an entire squad of overseas players?

There were times in seasons gone past that we have fielded 8 or 9 British players, half of which were home grown.

Does anyone care as long as we win?

Elland what the hell happened this breakfast post arrived nearer lunch today <laugh>

I can't see us signing any top strikers yet, as it would be unwise to start pretending we are able to go for promotion this term. We need the new coach to be able to bed this new squad in, and get everyone in the same mindset. No top player will gamble on coming because Dave is unknown and Cellino will not pay huge wages until he has to.

So far I'm liking what's happening, even though the Dave thing surprised me. Makes you wonder how much we actually got for some of our better players under bates doesn't it. Every deal was shrouded in mystery but I bet Bates walked away with shed loads into his own bank

Morning all. Will be interesting to see who we get in to replace Ross. Pity we sold him. But £11m was clearly too good an offer to refuse.

I agree but for all we know these italian fellas could be far better for cheaper anyway

Would like to sign at least a couple who are familiar with the championship as well, there are still a few good deals to be had in England

Good Morrow for a Sunny Wakefield

£11 million for McCormack shows how stupid prices have gone in the British game especially when you think we sold bought Hasselbaink for £2 million and Viduka for £6 million. Now a championship club has payed £11 million for a person who struggles to get in to the Scotland squad.

From what I gather I do believe that Buscechmi (Dunno if I spelt that right) is joining us today. Reports in the Italian press says he left their training ground yesterday to join us. Were also meant to be signing Daniele Cacia will be joining us in the next couple of days.

Would I be less attached to a squad full of non-British players? Nope but I wouldn't be happy about it though. I would very much prefer a squad of majority young British players and some foreigners

Good morning Matt and co from a very sunny Bardsey
I agree with Matt Ross will never be worth the amount we got for him and is Cellino Bernie Mardoff in disguise! Smells like a pronzi scam to me
How can we replace Ross well I have come up with a solution that will cost about £1.5m but it involves 2 players who between them have to score 30 goals and the lucky winers are............
Guedetti from Manchester City scored for fun in Holland and has a good eye for scoring goals 20 goals easily
Burke I know it goes against what I have preached about investing in youth and younger players but wee need someone with experience to bind the team together .I would bring him in to attacking right midfield so he can feed of Matt and with his eye for goal and his trickery I can see him scoring at least 10 goals for us
The squad is taking shape but we must not fill it with 11 Italians 6 at most for me and please don't knock our new coach give the lad a chance you never know he may surprise us all!

Surely worth a stamp 60. Think he's kid own man with very definite ideas but Im sure he'd also welcome any tips he can get. Morning everyone. I won't be mentioning our former striker anymore as he is no longer Leeds. Onwards and upwards chaps, all aboard

Of the centre backs we're linked with, bellusci looks more promising on paper than Rossini.... Relatively young and some regular serie a, games behind him. Be nice if some of the strikers getting bandied about scored more than the occasional goal, but hey what do I know, I've never seen any of them play!

we would be daft to turn down 11 million for someone who likes a good drink and has a huge chip on his shoulder

Morning all ... Cellino has said he will continue with his original transfer strategy despite selling Ross, so he won't be spending the Fulham money ... we will continue to see players coming from small Italian clubs on low wages ... Cellino will settle for mid table mediocrity this season and we will have to as well ... his target is clearly to make the club self funded as he did with Cagliari, and that means being very prudent in the transfer market ... the Fulham money will help with the debt massively, and that's where it will be applied which is not a bad thing ... our one hope, and this may be Cellino's as well, is that these foreign players come in and raise their game to make use of their one and only opportunity to ever play in the Prem ... same goes for Hock, this is his one big chance to crack it, if he fails here that's it, he will never get another chance this huge if any ... Cellino is clearly banking on hunger and desire to take us forward, and maybe if we're in the running come January he may well write some cheques to add genuine quality to the squad

Its quite obvious that not all of these signings are going to work out but Cellino is known for finding that diamond in the rough, some will turn out to be better than the journey men that we have been signing for the last 10 years.

I look forward to these young hungry players putting a good shift in for the shirt instead of the journey men just here to pick up their check every month.

hear hear Bucks .. spot on ... but we must be prepared to lose any diamonds, as Cellino also has a track record of selling these off for a huge profit .. that's always been his strategy, buy low and sell high

Cellino actually said he had not factored in the ross move, and was buying these players anyway. He then went on to say that he now needs a striker as well, so maybe with so much cash he'll give us a goal scorer.

The players he's bringing in are being bought on the cheap and paid cheaper wages than our overpaid home grown talent. On top of that players like Murphy and wootton demand £1m transfer fees when Cellino is getting as good for half the price and wages. You just have to hope that they can settle in Leeds without getting homesick.

Hopefully Cellino is seen as a visionary and the man who brought football wages and transfers under control. Failing that he could look a nob and another Vincent Tam

Agree Billy he did always sell them off for a massive profit at Cagliari but he said that was because Cagliari are a small team in Italy and they would always want to leave to go to the bigger clubs.

Now we will have the same problem at Leeds unless he can get us into the Prem were we should be able to keep hold of them for a bit longer, but even the Scum had to sell Ronaldo because he wanted out to a bigger club. Its just the way football is atm, money money money money!

Lol Doc .. don't think he'll be as bad as Tan .. agree that we need these lads to settle .. personally I can't wait to see our new team play, and these players may just gel and be awesome for us, really hope so ... Bucks agree, Prem is a must to help hang on to our best talent ... Scum sold Ronaldo because Madrid actually went to the bank and said they're willing to pay the £80m in cash up front, so bank pushed through the deal and took £60m straight off the top to fund the Scum debt ... it was one transfer Ferguson had absolutely NO say in
