Jefro probably made CernyBerny up so he could then rubbish him, and look good himself. I'm 100% sure of this, but have no proof to back it up
Ahh, a labyrinthine conspiracy! I like it! Wheels within wheels, enigmas wrapped within riddles. Sounds about par for the course for the Rs rumour grapevine to me. Best get David Icke on board to dig up the truth.
Welcome Dave, i follow u on Twitter and always read your blogs with interest. I hope you stay for a while and contribute
Welcome David - followed a lot of your stuff on 606 - hope you can give us outsiders a chance to glimpse what is happening on the inside of our club - any news would be good news at the moment!!!!
That would be a shame. However, I can see your point Swords. David would get hammered for information he either doesn't have or can't reveal for reasons relating to his job. He's hardly be in a position to opine as freely as the rest of us. I s'pose if I was him I'd stay well clear too! Shame though, good, interesting pro journalist imo - regardless of his status within the media. A rare breed. Having said this and notwithstanding Northolt's initiative, I do find David's 'appearance' on here just a tad reminiscent of the Simpsons...
While I'm here, David Mac said, '...MBs... tend to be dominated by ITKs and the like'. Since we're described as ITKs, can anyone enlighten me? I've been called a lot of things in my time but I'm usually pretty sure what people have been getting at!
In the Know. And which episode? Plus I don't see why he can't come on a forum for QPR fans as he is one, without people having a pop at him.
In the know?!! That's well ironic. About as apt as referring to someone in the ration queue as sorted! Thanks North. I agree, David's clearly no sleb type. He's R through and through and deserves to be respected as such. It's a shame some see him as a coconut in a shy. Weird even. But then again, this is the internet where anything goes I suppose...
The bottom line is that no-one is in the know, the journos are speculators and some of the rubbish we've been fed has emanated from Fantasy Island!
Too right SH. Fair game. I'm signed up for a few other Rangers sites and have posted occasionally for years. But as many of you know this site was born from the old BBC 606 site, which BBC staff like me sometimes posted articles and comments on - and broke up a few fights. So I thought I'd sign up and say hello. As many used to say on 606: I come in peace! There's a very simple answer to the question of who I work for (or my "media status" as someone put it!) but I tend not to go there, partly because, to be honest, I'm a bit too English to and find it embarrassing. For what it's worth, you'll have read loads of my stuff down the years, you just might not realise it because I prefer to keep a low profile (self-indulgent blog aside). On that blog I include a section with a small sample of some of my stuff on QPR for anyone wondering or remotely interested in who the hell I am, and I prefer to leave it there. I'll definitely be popping back from time to time to keep bothering you. Maybe I'm getting an ego in my old age and like the attention. Cheers all. Even Eamon
Nice one DM. Good to know you're now part of the not606 group. It'd be great to see you pop up every now and again to put us right on perspective and/or past events - as opposed to fielding impossible questions from us. As for your blogs and stuff, Northolt-QPR keeps us well supplied so you won't be left short of feedback from this corner of virtual society!
Interesting to see you here David. To be fair you took a lot of stick on 606 - some deserved - but you always had the grace to front up and explain yourself which many others didn't. I think I fundamentally took issue with you when Routledge was flogged to the Toon but thats water under the bridge now. Not606 seems to work primarily because the bulk of the 606 mob moved here. Its good to see some of the old names although without Walk53 its all a little too normal. Welcome and here's to some lively Premiership debate.
