I'm not a fan of Festivals like Glastonbury and would rather go to watch a band I like in a bar or indoor venue anyone agree that the Great British festival has run it's course and has become too main stream, or does everyone still love these outdoor affairs.

Respect to anyone reading this who is covered in **** at Glastonbury, and if you want a lift home i'll be there in 6 hours.

Sorry mate but it's like comparing going to a football match with a week in Ibiza, they are just two separate experiences.

Both have their place, there are plenty of great festivals out there still even if the biggest ones have become commercial clusterfucks.

Definitely a good old gig. You're always guaranteed a great time, no matter what happens. With festivals you're not. <ok>

Never been to a festival.. Never fancied having my belongings nicked by a load of scousers.. Back in the day went to a few illegal raves... Last one was about ten years ago got spiked with with liquid lsd, my mates found me at 7am talking to a bail a hay in a field of pigs..

Getting too old for both. Festivals in particular. My last T was a ****ing nightmare. Two nights in a tiny tent like a ****ing sweatlodge and spending my days surrounded by verminous cretins that I normally would cross the street to avoid. I caught two women pissing against my tent during one of the nights. Unfortunately my girlfriend was with me so I couldn't kick **** out of one and then rape the other one while her horrified pal watched helpless.
Only good thing about it was the Pixies.

    Gigs for me.

The thought of having to go back to a tent after a day watching bands is a nightmare. Much rather hit the pub, go to a gig, hit the pub again and head home for a couple of beers and put some music on. Then fall into my nice, comfy bed.

Giggs are more personal but festivals are good once in a while. Have done the Hop Farm & Glade when it was running and they were very enjoyable (1 wet, 1 sunny)<party>

Gigs for me. I hate camping so much I have never been to a festival for that reason. A friend of mine goes to Oxygen every year and I don't know how she does it.
