This is the most incredible thing I've ever seen in international football. Fusion, I take my hat off to you, you said Germany would destroy Brazil, already done at half-time. I live in Germany too, dunno about tomorrow, will just blend with the festivities I guess.........Jeeeeez..........:emoticon-0112-wonde

Funny enough they'll be nervously watching the 2nd semi-final tomorrow, worrying about who they will play in the final. Clear that Brazil without Neymar are about as good as Barnsley reserves. Everyone in shock here though - stunned, no real celebrations at the moment. Probably all hell will break loose at the final whistle.

We're still better than them at cricket and darts though <ok>

FIFA probably had a quiet word with Germany at half time and said "thats enough now".

You have to pack it all up then take it to the PO and they will ask you which service you want. The cost is governed by speed and value!

Right. Getting interesting as I put bets at half time on 8-0 (28-1) and 9-0 (66-1).

Well, Oddy, at least they drown out that fecking "Oh wie schön" crap, how I hate that bloody song..<yikes>

(Strangely quiet down here this morning, don't think they can really believe it themselves and it has not yet sunk in. Hell of a performance.)

Trouble is Swanny, they can't really enjoy the performance because they haven't actually won anything yet. For most Germans, reaching the semi-final is the minimum requirement, I think I read a survey before the World Cup started, that over 50% of Germans expect them to win the World Cup. With such huge expectation it is difficult to just enjoy the fact that they have hammered Brazil 7-1 in their own backyard. If they lose the final it will all count for nothing.

What bothers me, Oddy, (for the Erics that is) about the Final is that Argentina have not yet shown hardly a whiff of what they are capable of? They have some damn good players, some of whom have really under-performed. For example, Aguero; he is a fine player but has done not too much so far. I am 'hoping' for a good Final, but, yet again it could well be as dull as dishwater?

To be fair to Aguero he's hardly played - out injured most of the tournament and came on as a sub against the Dutch. It might just all click together for Argentina but it will need to if they are to stand a chance. Funny enough I never thought of it like this, but it's the 2 countries we love to hate from the last decade due to wars - Germany and Argentina. Showing my age now. I hope the referee wins <laugh>

Yes, Oddy, this is all too complex, I will back the linesmen e/w (important gentlemen, check 1966?). Did not realise Aguero had not played that much, he really is very good though. There was so much football going on at the start, quite honestly couldn't keep up with it all.
