Agree Ivor. I too saw the sprints video, he won quite easily. More alarming was the fact that Amat finished last by some distance (I think it was him)
My comment about Chico getting his head down was in response to the suggestion/ rumour/ truth/ lie by the OP that he wasn't happy. No idea if that's a fact or not. Like most people here.
Whether we sign him or Sevilla do he is still a midfielder and has no bearing on what happens to Chico
Valley, agree about Amat. The few things I've seen he's usually been somewhere near the back - but he smiles more than most.
Umm, how do we know ANYTHING? Who is unhappy? How do we know they're unhappy? What makes you think it's a 'Swans' or 'Monk' problem, even if they are unhappy? People on here saying thing like, "yeah, we'd better not leave it to fester" and "we need to sort this out now!" "We" are a bunch of oafs on a forum that I suspect not even a single person reads, who is actually affiliated to the club (I'm not including Executive Board Member, Dai because he's on my IGNORE list). Whether I do something about it or not requires me to either sit here and frown or fly to the USA and ask Monk some frank questions and interrogate the squad for answers before instigating a mass hippy sit-in with peace pipes whilst coating the teams pillows in Lavender and Ylang Ylang to ensure a nice sleep at the end of it all. I'm nights tomorrow, so I suppose it'll have to be the former.
I agree, Shaper. It's been said already that some people are simply putting their own interperetation on images, videos and the like and that's human nature. Doesn't make it fact.
Some fans are dead set in finding problems on here All i see is a squad of players reporting back for training where there are always some who get more time off for one reason or another that NONE of us are privy too. I see a manager who has not had that much time with his family working his socks off recruiting some top quality players that bigger clubs than us were after but we won the deal. I see every comment on twitter and in the media by players looking forward to the coming season with a positive attitude. I see recruitment in the backroom and scouting staff and i see a well balanced squad being assembled and getting down to business ready for the new season. Where are the problems.? where in the media does it say we are in trouble?....as far as i can see things cant be any better than they are and a good season is on the cards....
Totally agree Shaper. We on the outside have no idea what is going on. There were always going to be people moved out, It happens every season. What I want left is people who want to wear the white shirt, who want to play for our club, who will give 100%. To many people putting 2 and 2 together and getting 55. We are signing this person so he must be going. No one knows what is happening apart from those in the club. lets wait and see and enjoy the ride. The starting of this thread says it all about some of our supporters.
"recruiting some top quality players that bigger Clubs than us were after but we won the deal". Well, that's the second time you've written that recently. It was queried by another poster, but I didn't see a reply,so perhaps I can ask it again, who exactly are these "players" that "we won" against massive odds? Gomis springs to mind, but I don't recall reading/hearing about any "bigger Clubs" seeking his signature. He signed for The Swans' because he got a good deal. None of the other recent signings would fit your "quality players" claim. Actually,we don't know yet if any of them are "quality". Only time will answer that. You really should desist from making such extravagant posts.
you see lib your looking for problems again we have no problems, Its football and a new manager who will do things his way and that im afraid is what all managers want to do at the end of the day. Some of our players from last season will be relegated down the pecking order as new players join. thats life of a footballer and why they get well rewarded. we may even send some out on loan yet. we dont know what monk wants to do with certain players under contract.
It's just been reported that Michu and Hernandez are to be sold and Poz and Canas have been told they have no future at the club.
Remember this is a blog and the writers opinion only but i agree mostly with him.. 2 Worst Kept Secrets, 1 Surprise 8 July, 2014 By Steven Just like last summer Swansea City have left four players behind from their pre season tour. Can you remember last year’s fab four? Well I’ll reveal them at the end of this piece. Three of the four in question this time hardly count as much of a shock. Let’s start with Michu, things appear to have gone very sour since his glorious debut campaign at the Liberty when he bagged 18 goals. He made a reasonable start last term but when he made a brief return in March after long-term absence he was a shadow of his former self. Worse than that his body language was that of someone who didn’t really look like he was bothered. Any of you reading this who went to Hull away last term? I’m sure if you did you’ll know what I’m on about, half arsed tackles, lazy attempts to get the ball, moaning at team-mates I could go on. I think it’s best for everyone now to have a clean break, we’ll never forget how he helped us to League Cup glory but Michu needs to rediscover that spark he had previously and there’s no doubt that won’t happen at the Swans. Two of the others left behind didn’t surprise me either – Jose Canas and Alejandro Pozuelo. No doubt something has gone on behind the scenes with those two. Both have ability and should at least be in contention for the bench. After the rumours of a split camp last term and these two get ditched for Jay Fulton I don’t think it takes a genius to work out those two were involved. Both should be able to find alternative employment back in their homeland. Now we come to the surprise – Pablo Hernandez. I was shocked to hear he had not travelled with the rest of the squad over to Chigaco over the weekend and as ever speculation was rife that he too could be heading out of the Liberty. From a football point of view this would be a shame having played the best football of his Swansea career since Garry Monk took charge but if as the Evening Post believe he wants to go back to Spain to be nearer his daughter then we can’t begrudge him that. If that is the case then we need to sell as soon as possible to try and recoup some money back for him with our number eleven only having one year left on his contract.
What "problems" am I looking for? I have politely asked you,as did another poster,to clarify your posts. The fact that you still desist in doing so is answer enough - you were talking nonsense, again, and then try a smokescreen by suggesting I am seeking " problems". If anyone has "problems",well,I don't really need to specify,do I? Your post makes no sense at all as a response to mine.
